Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
jord mate i took the top mounts off for you last weekend so if you still want them let me know :)
i broke my wrist on sunday too which is why i havent contacted you sooner :dapprove:
im almost positive its pin 29
but im going from memory as i have stuck a multimeter probe in there so many times i just 'know' where it is lol
should be a yellow wire, with a red one next to it iirc (a red wire pin 30??)
this is like my problem that i had (still have) now and again
for some reason i dont get ign live to the ecu (i put it down to a bad connection at the ecu plug)
stick a mulimeter in the ign live on the ecu plug (whilst attached to ecu, forget which pin it is) and make sure you have a reading...
plato rocks :D
i was glad when they announced he had returned to btcc, not the same without him! and i know lots of people slate him for heavy contact, but this just proves he can take it aswell
i apologise if this is way off, but this is very good 'propoganda' the way the hype has been built up well before the product has been released
so really the supplier/s have brought the questions upon themselves, but then its not them getting bored of the questions is it? any publicity is good...
indeed there is, i'm booked in there again this year (3rd time iirc) with some mates
there was a fit foreign bird who ran it with her hubby, but she's gone now :(
still good for a laugh and some food
Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
ah right, have they not said how long it will be?
btw sorry for the spammage, but if its a massive wait jord i can maybe sort you out my AST top mounts as im 99% sure i wont be using them on the racer :)
Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
whens the latest you need to make a decision about the top mounts mate?
or have you decided to not pull out of the group buy?
indeed :approve:
i now have 2 sets of williams speedlines, one set of steelies and now the 2020's
and tyres positively coming out of my ears, one set of toyo t1r's, one set of michelin pe2's, one set of dunlop slicks, one set of michelin slicks and one set of kuhmo cut slicks
whoops just spent my fundage for this on some cat 421's and those speedline 2020's with michelin slicks
told you it was burning a hole in my pocket :o
best get saving again
i would say yes it will be beneficial to you if it is that sloppy it wont go into gear
be prepared to fiddle around with the short shift to get the perfect setting
its going to be your brake cylinder thats leaking, new one needed, not much though iirc
when you get the drum off you will see where its coming from, if no visible leak peel back the rubber seals on the ends of the brake cylinder, if the seals knackered it will leak brake fluid
Re: Renault 5 F2000 Tarmac Rally / Sprint Car - Clio Williams conversion & overhaul
holy s**t is that how long away it is!!??
car looks sweet fella
Mark has very kindly looked at the pic for me and confirmed the harness bar was a genuine cup item fitted by a few of the teams so its all good to mount the harnesses there :D
hmmm
you see this is what i dont understand, clearly someone has had harnesses attached to it before, its exactly the same colour as the rest of the cage, and is the same thickness as he rest of it
surely when this thing was racing they would have attached the harnesses properly? so thats...
