Right i had my engine rebuilt about 9 months back as the cam belt snapped and it was poorly! anyway whilst it was in bits had it balanced, lightned, cams, verniers, headwork among other stuff!
The guy that did it did a spot on job but had no rolling road, and iv been running it on standard...
righto, ages back my car was cutting out at junctions, and idling quite low! i cleaned ISCV, changed speedo cable, and same problem. Me and Paul16v then adjusted the potentiomenter (as it sorted his out), and the idle went mad, so put it back as best we could! Then changed the ISCV and it was...
its easy to fit them lol. the set i bought had the same millage bar 1k so i left them! hardest part is getting the speedo cable back on i reckon, unless u got the hands of a 5 year old!
iv got a 19 ECU in my vlaver and it works fine. whether the chip would work is another thing. iv known a couple of people inc paul16v to try it with a chip that was for the 19 and the car wouldnt start!

i used that stuff, and it was coming out of the hole like u wouldnt believe, but after 5 mins it had stopped, so i filled up with air and it got me 30miles home solid as a...
mine does the same fella! it goes pretty loud, but any more and it cuts out. sometimes the headunit doesnt come back on untill the ignition has been of for a while, then all the settings have reset!
definately worth it, when i had my engine built it came back with the cat on for a few days as it was goin through MOT. was much better when i had the de-cat put back on, and loads louder!
