Paul u can have a drive in mine if u want mate next time i see you. Need a gearbox first though hehe.
iv had all the mods u have mentioned, and as u know its pretty quick compared to most other valvers, and enough 2 litres its come against in its time ;0)
With all the work, it has about the...
Thing about having yours rebuilt is that it will almost be like having a new engine in the car. If you stick a willy lump in its gonna have some miles on it.
Personally id go for what your doing, but try and find a megane bottom end for around £2-300. That would be a nice quick, and torquey...
my column is fuked too. but engine may be comin out for new box and clutch so i think ill fit another one then.
bit scared about taking the lump out myself though. bit of an amateur! lol

the gold bit on the pic, with the circular rubber around it! take off the small pipe going from that to ur airbox, and spray some in whilst the engine is running, and open and close it by reving it a bit.

take one of the rubbers off going to the airbox that conects to the iscv, spray it with carb cleaner in whilst revving it a bit so it opens and closes. might have to keep revs up as it will probably stall if not
or its dead easy to take off, , make sure u open and close it so it cleans the...

- changed ISCV
- changed potentiometer
- changed speedo cable and road speed sensor
- changed lambda
- changed throttle body
- tried another ECU

iv only seen one, and it was built in denamark or somewhere. i dont know of any in the UK. actually Hill Power may have done one. but ur looking at a lot of pennies, and the possibility of loosing power steering!

rato, cars currently stripped to the max with bucket seats, goes like sh1t off a shovel, but doesnt look too tidy inside with all the bare metal showing. Iv got a cage to fit, but before it goes in i was planning on carpeting it all. prob use the original carpet for the front, but the standard...
