Exactly!! Some of the plates they keep back for auction dont actually make up a proper word so they are encouraging car drivers to mis -space them to make them appear as words or names - they charge enough for them and we dont even own them, all we pay for is the right to display them.

There are lots of misplaced plates around the Edinburgh/Lothians area that have been that way for ages so presumably nobody has stopped them and asked them to change. Personally I think a number plate spaced to resemble a word or name would be much easier to remember in the case of an incident...

Maybe someone had selected randomly a number for fake plates and it just so happened to be your number. Or perhaps someone reported the number of the ACTUAL car involved and got a number or letter wrong and yours came up.

Put a post-it note on the speedo with the mileage on it and tell them that you have a tiny secret camera inside the car that will be watching them!!

Mine came with 16" standard 172 wheels until I put 17" Super Ts on it. It appears identical in every way to a UK sourced one - English manual too.

My car was an import via a dealer and it was delivered to me complete with a Cat 1 alarm/immobiliser. No Clios arrive in the UK with alarms, apparently they are installed down in Southampton or which ever dock they arrive at (as far as I know).

There is a black 206 near me with oversized numbers spaced like this: P 3UAN (he is called Euan) and the 3 is not a normal 3 and looks almost like an E and he has had it like than for as long as I have had my car (over 2 years) and nobody has ever said anything to him. Depends on the mood...
