A solid immobiliser light is the fact the ECU is not recieving the immobiliser code. This normally happends when the battery has been dissconected.
Sometimes leaving the ignition turned on for a short while will sort it. Its also worth checking all the fuses and relays for corrosion. Check...

Your getting there, next undo the rack to colum pinch bolt, and the 4 bolts that bolt the rack to the subframe. Seperate the bottom ball joints, undo the 16mm nut for the front engine mount, remove the rear dogbone mount, remove the 4 16mm bolts holding the frame on and lower it down on some...
Very unusual for a k4m, normally very efficiant cooling systems.
If its not overheating whilst the car is moving (ie on the motorway) it will be fan related.
The immobiliser bypass wont work on a phase 2.
This happends quite commonly when the battery has been left to go flat.
Try turning ignition on for a minute, then off, lock the doors, unlock the doors, open then close the drivers door and try to start it then.
The fact the cable tie is getting in the way of the sensor and the reluctor ring is your problem. Get it off and get a proper clip on there and your problems will dissapear.
The only one that was worth getting i was told was the logitec driving force GT. You cant change the side of the gearstick but it has got flappy paddles for gear changes. I payed £75 in argos.
I dont think the remap will be coming into it mick, due to the fact there is going to be no way of proving it. (or at least cheaply). Also inner cv boots are going to be a fail along with split dust covers on suspension and steering joints, EPAS, EPB and airbag warning lights all becoming a fail...
