There’s a Blaupunkt app as well which brings the stereo up. But again wants £9.49 🤷🏻♂️
It’s called Car-Radio
Nothing’s for free anymore. More’s the pity 😩
I had a similar problem trying to find a code on an older set. I eventually figured it out by powering it up, which revealed a security code. Mine started with a letter followed by 3 numbers. I then put the code into an app called “decoder” (App Store”, which then gave me the radio code. I...
Yeah it is. So nice to be able to use all the functions of the stereo. None of my other Clio’s had the original stereo.
It’s the little things that count.
Stereo de-gunked. It was horrible 🤢
Came apart pretty easily, a few screws on the side to remove the front panel, then 3 screws to remove circuit board, then buttons. Forgot to take pics 🤦🏻♂️
Sadly it meant losing the stickers but it’s better than the alternative.
Just a couple of bits...
The one on the left is the factory pipe, the one binding with the bracket has been drilled and tapped. Some people fit oil coolers to their gearboxes, so that’s probably what that’s for. @FrogJam Motorsport have just fitted one to theirs.
A trip down to see the RB today. A check on the dehumidifiers revealed some moisture that’s been captured. Not a lot but every little helps.
Next up was to remove the Air Conditioning Control Unit. It’s a bit scratched up, sticky and the buttons have worn away. I also removed the stereo and a...
I recently got a set off DMFX in Darlington - https://allianceautomotive.co.uk/member/24529/dmfx/
You just have to remind them they're the CUP versions - 44 teeth - as they sent me the wrong ones.
EDIT - I may even have a brand new set of them because I put new driveshafts that already had...
So some people pay £37 for 1GB, my colleague in the office pays £31 for M350, but they can't offer me anything better than £34 for M125. Been with these guys since the NTL days. b******s.
It's that time again. Contract up on 8th January.
It's all getting done over Whatsapp now which is better as it's using wi-fi on my desktop as opposed to hanging on the phone. They still ask questions such as :
1. Could you explain how many of you use Broadband and for what purpose? 2. What...
Yes, you can still get some parts from your main dealer via France - usually 10 days. I had to wait 10 days for bolts, engine lifting hook, and that kind of thing.
Serviceable items are fine in general, but some engine sensors are now N/A such as MAP, ABS etc...all third party now. I think I...
I picked up a Valeo kit 215mm 26 teeth 826558 off EBay for my 182. Cost me £85 from memory. Did 10,000 miles on it no issues before I sold the car a month back.
Just did a complete resto on my 182 RB and parts are getting thinner on the ground, getting good quality second hand bits is...
I think this has been the case on all my 182s as the mating surfaces on that housing are showing their age. I just replaced the thermostats, then added a bit of silicone and they've been gold. They especially seem to leak around the pipe going to the radiator, so again a bit of silicone around...
When my old 182 went into limp-mode it was a dirty throttle body as suggested above.
Contact cleaner and WD40 did the trick. I have a perfect working throttle body in my garage which I'll do you an excellent deal on before you splash out for a new one. If you're plumbing for a new TB, K-Tec...
Didn't get the full reg but the last numbers and letters were 05HNE. Black 182 FF pulling off the A66 towards Riverside/North Ormesby this morning around 8:30. Older lady was driving it with a younger lad in the passenger seat. I thought I had the only Black 182 in the area, so be interesting to...
I've seen a few people before running standard 15" steel wheels on circuit Clio's. No issues. I assume you'll get a decent stud nut kit to replace the stock bolts? If you haven't get a kit already, check these out on eBay. Made by Bimecc who also make the PMS kits, but without the PMS tax.
After all that great work as well. The extra stress that a track day brings unfortunately kills a lot of these old cars. Hopefully, you don't lose faith and can keep her on the road.
Possible brake switch behind the pedal?
It's a sensor at the end of the day, so if the switch is faulty the ECU maybe thinks the brakes are being applied at the same time as the accelerator, causing it to go into limp mode. There's a guide on here about the brake switch and how to reset it...
Hmmm that's weird. I used to leave my shims in on the race car, and never had an issue running CL6, Pagid RS42, DS1.1......
EDIT. Tell a lie, I had to remove for the Pagid as they didn't quite fit.
