You can see in the picture below the loom of wires in the shiny covering. This was where my rattle was coming from as it got jiggled around and vibrated on rough road surfaces. I had to insert a little pad of foam between the shiny stuff and the plastic trim where the rattle was coming from...
Quote: Also, there is a rattle coming from the glove box area, any ideas what that could be?
Classic 182 rattle (i had it), and heres how to fix it:
If you look in the passenger footwell under the glovebox (need to get onto your knees outside the car) you will see a loom of wires bound...
when people talking about "matched" manifolds, what does this mean exactly and why does matching them yield more power?
better airflow because of less turbulence?
Videos supplied by steamywindows. I think it sounds amazing, not too loud, nice rasp and good bit of burble. Those Prospeed exhausts sound too loud/boomy for my liking, this Magnex is definitely more my cup of tea.
Youll probably need the latest version of quicktime to view them, you can get...

oh arse, mine was rattle free (6 months old) until about a month ago when it developed one from behind the dash/instrument cluster.
It comes and goes, but would have been good to get it fixed.
No brainer, Evo 8.
As much as i like the V6 and think its unique, its just not Evo 8 territory. I would like the ability to carry four adults comfortably and plenty luggage whilst still being incredibly rapid; plus the 4 wheel drive.

Looks like a smashing piece of kit, sorely tempted!

and how much have u lost on it in 6 months?
Dunno mate, good question, but if i was to sell it second hand id be looking at trying to get £11k for it? Only 5000 miles on it.
Im not wanting to sell it, so im not bothered on what its worth.
I have the green cotton panel filter on mine, it was a little bit louder at high revs.
Hard to tell if there is any performance difference, but i fitted mine when the car was tight with low miles. Since its loosened up with over 5k miles on it now, its definitely pulling better mid-range, but...
Hmm, new one on me - the only knocking ive had is the classic engine mount issue. I also get the "exhaust clicking" as it cools down after a run in the car - no problem there though.
I was heading into Bridge of Allan about 5pm, saw a 172 Cup coming the other way, private plate - looked like a cliosport sticker in the back window, good looking blonde driving the car. Anyone?
