I popped in to Renault today to drop the car off to have the infamous 182 clunk sorted (engine mount replacement) when i was looking inside the new laguna and the megane. I was quite surprised to see that the grab handles (on the ceiling of the interior above the doors) were nicely damped when...
I have plenty pink - shirts, polo shirts, t-shirts and a jumper.
My pub drinking buddies are forever telling me its a poofy colour, i look like a poof. However, get this; theyre all single and ive got a long term (read: regular sex ;)) girlfriend and they have never had a girlfriend. So...
Quote: Up until October last year I had absolutely no points on my license, and thats kind of the way I wanted it to stay.. On 22nd October 2004 however I got done for 65 in a temporary limit on the A899, Livingston. Now not only am I convinced that there was completely inadequate signposting of...
Yeah, i found spray on stuff oversprayed onto the bodywork too; ruining all the washing done previously.
Ok, the spray was transparent, but it picked up dirt/dust after one drive. Much better with a rub on product.
Turtlewax platinum series is pretty good, i used to use Autoglym stuff before but it was too watery and it ran off the tyres onto the road. The turtlewax stuff is a gooey substance you squeeze onto a cloth and then rub onto the tyre wall, so you get much better results without it running off.
I concur with the depreciation.
My sis has a 51 plate CTR, only done about 12k miles - paid about £17k for it, was considering selling it last year (so three years old) for about £12k-ish (autotrader was packed with them). Then the new CTR came out, and prices have further dipped.
Thats...
Weekly petrol thread then.
I asked this a couple of weeks ago, i use optimax and its fine for me. Not tried 95 ron, although the general opinion is that it wont do any harm.
I have an Alpine headunit but with a basic InCarTec adaptor for the display - it only shows volume up/down and track forwards/backwards and "ALPINE" at all other times - nothing else.
I think if you want radio station information, current track and time elapsed; you need Alpines own headunit...
The standard headunit isnt too bad, but when i upgraded to an Alpine unit the sound quality was sooo much better.
I threw in an Alpine amp and some Focal Polyglass, now it sounds out of this world.
Christ, lots to chose.
205 GTi sounds like a good suggestion, but would prefer a williams. If it was turbod out of the box (scort RST for example) then it gives more potential to tune for less money id have thought?

So there i was, having a bored moment at work today mulling over throwing some cash at the 182 to take it to 200 bhp or... keep the 182 as an everyday car, since im a warranty lover and spend the £3000-£5000 i was thinking of spending on the 182 on a track day / weekend car. If it broke down, or...

Oh, and, my sisters Type-R blew up after 6 months and needed an engine rebuild.
Really? Contact Top Gear then as according to Clarkson not one VTEC engine has EVER failed.
Yes really, and...
Its a typical urban myth / bandwagon people jump on to say "its French". People on my old car owners club, just past their test saying "was going to get a Clio/Saxo/Pug, but hey its French so i didnt" - what the fck does it mean?
To sum up some other cars:
My cousin has a Merc SL 500 and...

Ive seen a black gold going about, didnt like it when my mate in his A3 overtook him on the dual carriageway and therefore whisked into the outside lane to overtake back.
Not the best form I think.
Quote: 1st thing I noticed after jumping out of my well loved 172 CUP, was how light the steering, brake and clutch pedals felt compared to the cup!
Really? I find the 182 steering to be quite heavy. I like it heavy though, feel in touch with the road.
dangerous/irresponsible/illegal but interesting vid ;)
suddenly the 182 turbo conversion is looking more appealing ;)
From the vid it looked like Evo was comfortably away, but the obvious weight advantage and higher power of the RST allowed it to be overall quicker at the top end.
Right ive had a look at my connectors i cut off the 13cm units in the front doors and they are as follows:
first:
+ lilac/green
- brown
second:
+ yellow/lilac
- pink/lilac
I cant for the life of me remember which side (hence i called them first/second) and i cant take the...
