Only the 182's suffer from the old brake light pressure switch problem.
You need to ifnd out what error code is being thrown but but its comming and going indicates to me a wiring not sensor problem IMO which isn't as easy to find.
£4k I'd say but £3.7k trqde in although depends what your buying prioce to chnage realy a garage would give you £10k against a Bugatti Veryon probably.
Lovly but my guess that damage is caused more by other facots not the remap itself unless it went wrong.
The VAG racing cars run high power out of amlost stock parts without issue so they must de decient enough.
Stock internals are fine upto huge power the problem is people pushing the orignal parts ie turbo injectros pumps to far.
The 225 turbo is better gut might as well go aftermarket and get some injectors remap etc and you can run huge power.
Running 225 turbo isn't the only difference the...
Not much for getting power out of the 172/182 engine realy cheap its no VAG 1.8T.
To get over 200hp you need to spend a fair bit £2k I'd say is a beginning.

People do tow on 172/182's but if they ahve an accident its questionable teriatory as they arn't allowed...
I've never found any dealership and good setting up the car or checking them even with all there fancy stuff.
