ABS Broken killed sensor Light on dash 172 ph1 AHHHHH please help

  clio 172 mk 1
Hi im an idiot.
Just getting that out the way
I bought some rear discs and bearings for my clio as the rear bearing was grumbling and the discs looked decidedly shot.
Anyway bought the parts from eurocarparts because i couldnt really afford the genuine renualt parts.
the bearings kit came with the lock nut, so I thought it was the normal assembly process for a wheel bearing (ie hit it alot)
Did all that and installed it all.
Afterwards on examination of the old ones I noticed they had a circlip to retain the bearings. But at this point I had already drove a few miles.
Anyway took the whole lot off, one of the discs has "ground" against the carrier so much that the whole back retaining edge of the disc has worn away. The car is all back together now, with another new disc and bearing on one side and old circlips reused.
Anyway getting to the main jist. One of the ABS sensors was slightly damaged in the rubbing stage as the ABS no longer works and the dash ABS and service lights are now illuminated. I dont know definately that it is this sensor that is dead, but the abs worked with the new discs first time around and the sensors plastic was worn a bit.
Please can someone help!
thanks
alex
