ok so to clarify, drive shafts same for non cup and cup, the actual knuckle is different as in the bolt spacing for the strut, the bearing is different as per tony hunters post: Different o/s dia

but the part I actually need is the hub assembly which if pressed out can then be reused...
Hey Guys
I'm in Australia and struggled to find a 182 Cup Hub so I bought a normal 172 hub and was planning to press out the bearing on both and swap over as its only the lug bolt threads that were stuffed on my cup hub. Is the above correct are the bearing also a different size ?
i have this issue where works sometimes then sometimes does not. I have silver visions fitted and have noticed the brake light warning sometime semi illuminates, will check the rear end
Hey Guys
I know this has been asked a million times but want some personal advice, I'm running standard Australian spec 15x7" Clio 172 wheels on my cup which were fine with the current 2.5 degree's of front camber when I had 195 / 50 / 15 tires but have since upgraded to 205 / 50 / 15 tires...
Nothing wrong with GAZ Suspension, ran my 182 with 20+ other clios and had the fastest lap time of the day with minimal mods and shot tyres, Also if the noise is just the spring its simply them settling in.
hey guys
I have a track day next week and want to know if there is any issue running different size R888's front to back, I have a pair of 195's and a pair of 205's. Due to the camber on the front I need to either run the 205's on the rear but I can run the 205's on the front with a small...
they just stick some grease in there and once done clean it up looks very dodge but mines been fine for over 15k now since it was done.. I was thinking F*ck im selling the car while he was working on it but I could never sell my beloved Clio (GAY RIGHT :P)
Ok so just an update, changing the oil with the JMS kit installed isnt really a issue, you simply remove the air filter and or throttle body, 5 mins work and a couple of bolts. There's enough room to get the old oil filter off and have some rags around it and a plastic bag, I did it and didnt...
Just went to swap my Carbon Lorraine pads from my old clio to my new car and guess what, one of the pads came apart exactly the same as pic 2! Can any one confirm if the new Carbon Lorraine Pads also suffer from this?
also as the breather has a filter instead of running back to the manifold, what happens when on the track? do I need a catch can as I dont want to end up with an engine bay full of oil!
OK so finally all finished and have just taken it for a quick spin..... Its down on power :( I think maybe slight air leak? or just needs to be mapped.
Didn't back fire tonight which is a good thing
Finally got the dam thing on and started last night:
gave it a bit of a rev, havent driven it yet as I still need to mount the coil packs and find a t piece to run the charcoal canister line back into the intake.
Did get it back fire through the intake twice though when reving it though...
Is removing the canister a good idea? where does the fuel tank then vent to? would it be a better solution to join the brake servo and carbon canister to a T piece and then run to the plenum?
Hey Guys
I purchased a JMS RS2 Intake Manifold kit recently of the forum, it was brand new but I never realised there was a difference between the 172 and 182 kit / engine.
Issues:
1 - The 172 has a hose that connects to the top of the crank case breather plate - the 182 has the same hose but...
still think I would like a remote oil filter kit. Does any one know of the parts / size needed? I've been told it just has to be M20 Compatible, does that sound right?
