http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/!cs_content.private_results?make_id=19&model_id=66 first example i came across - private sale ad's albeit from aus.
in essence i agree but that's not the whole story. I'd rather buy a 20,000 miler that's all been motorways than a 5,000 miler that had only been tracked.
The advice to buy a low milage one is sound though as it's as general a marker to go on as you can get without looking into service...
where's the rest of it? Yanks have some strange ideas - how do you drive these things - no suspension travel at all and possibly the worst turning circles in the history of automotive engineering, puts the Trophy to shame.
costco - £170 fitted, my tyres £165 fitted (via a local tyre shop - on their database) If you shop around you'll get 'em cheaper than that, where u based I can get 'em brand new, fitted & balanced for £155.
Are you serious??
the suspension, seats, wheels and spoiler are worth nearly £8k of that figure...... you'd pay 8k for a 182 but only 2k extra for 8k's worth of extras? good luck!
There's 6 '06 trophys to my knowledge - a few owners didn't reg them until the new reg came out. I bet there's a couple of FF 182's to be had... its on registration date not mft date that the reg is set!
I remember when i bought my trophy the dealer had a couple of spanking new 182's...
i had this problem - from memory that handbook is misleading as to how to do it, i called the steelers and they said it was how i was entering it - they talked me thru it and it worked. The code will be right if your the first owner - if you bought second hand they prvious owner/s may have...
better to wait than to get a knock at the door a couple of days from now from the bobby's saying that their taking the car as it's not your's. Especially when change of reg is the cause..... you have no reference to check against the database, the Vin's could have been changed etc - you can't...
i was in this circustance when i was student, I went for an M3 - loved it and would still probably have it but i totalled it as it was my first rear drive car and it had a load of power with no t/c.
Why am i getting dejavu with this senario...........
Seb has given you the sensible approach...
third post on this subject because it still amazes me that people come up with this giberish. The 182 FF is a great hatchback, the Trophy is a Great hatchback. If your not bothered about better handling and are mainly going to be driving round town and on motorways, you aint going to buy a...
