i'm with Cliobuyer. Pound for pound your miles better off spending money on tuition from a race instructor than any mods at all. It'll make more difference than any mod you'd care to throw at it and it'll last a lot longer than the car will.
When you've had the instruction you'll know what...
A Trophy will retain it's value better than a FF 182. So £ for £ wise the switch to a Trophy is worth it, plus just take one out for a drive.
You'll answer your own question then. Trophy all the way for me :)
pre 4k revs you'd notice the lack of power against most petrol engines if you drive a deisel. after 5k revs though you should have felt the difference in pull.
sounds strange to me, when i drove one I said that it didn't feel as quick as a 182 but only just slower, probably 172 in FF form...
how much have E36 M3's dropped to now? Teggy or 172 I'd say fella, through the MR2 idea out, they look very dated at that age and aren't all that quick.
i paid £44 for my 5 ltr silkolene. It's including VAT, the other price quoted was excluding VAT. not sure on why you paid £47 or whatever it was. Sounds like you didn't pass on your membership number or something....
buy it from http://www.opieoils.co.uk/ - you get a discount. Best stuff for a 182 is Silkolene 5w40. I personally wouldn't go to a dealer for the service but eac to their own. Ask for the bottle back or ask to see the bottle if your worried that they may not have used it. I don't think they'd...
:( always sorry to hear about accidents.. hope you get it all sorted and the car is ok afterwards. DONT TAKE IT TO THE BODY SHOP THAT THE INSURANCE TELLS YOU TO!!!!!
You have right of refusal under law and can take to where ever you want. Accident bodyshops are poo. They get screwed down...
isn't cornering ability part of the performance of a car, or are you american and think straight line speed is all that counts?
i'd go for the clio. they're difficult to compare because they are in different sectors, aimed at different people. If you cut hair for a living then the MR2 maybe an...
different drivers also - no way was it a fair test. Having taken both on track the 182 Cup is slower!
Back on topic: suitable mods for the Trophy are:
Brakes + Hoses
Air Filter - Personally I'd say panel over Cone
ECU
Exhaust
Carbon Bonnet - Painted Capsicum Red of course :) :approve:
hi, Rs models:
172
172 Cup
182
182 Cup
182 Trophy (the daddy, only available in the UK and Switzerland though) only 550 built :)
ps i think they did a specil edition of the 172 in a green colour with some extra bits on it, can't remember the name, something like executive or something.
aye, sounds like they've bitten off more than they can chew. First rule of digging yourself out of a hole is to concentrate on what you do best. Shutting down the workshop to concentrate on mail orders sounds like they have excessive stock and are trying to sell it off. Company won't be round...
stamp the letters private and confidential. Secretaries and pa's should pass these letters to the actual addressees not open them.
Also, if a Reno person actually reads these site.... I am a new Renault owner, I have in the past owned more prestigous brands, with this being my first foray...
