Top notch! Next months Max Power (sorry) has got a feature on BBs turbo Clio. Conveniently plastered in Cliosport stickers, and hopefully they might have some of my words of wisdom in there along with a plug for Cliosport...
We did a rolling road last year and every single Clio came out of it with a different transmission loss, it varied between something like 15% and 35%. Obviously the idea that all of these wildly different trans losses were genuinely measured is a nonsense...as long as you stick to comparing your...
Dont worry, its not just a caliper on its own! Ive got the full house kit - 325mm grooved discs, gold anodised bells and caliper mountings, Mintex 1155 pads, plus the big old calipers themselves. I was pretty surprised at how light they were, each caliper weighs only weighs about a kg. Its the...

So what do you reckon to this 4-pot bad boy then?

Ignore the rank carpet! Anyway the question is if I want to put these on myself how difficult is it to remove old calipers/discs/pads and fit new. Ive never done...
valver box probably isnt any stronger than the RT one, and it would definitely be too long for the RT as well, designed to keep the F7P engine on the boil in a 2000 rpm range at the top of the revs. Stick with a short RT box if I were you. The WIlly box is definitely stronger than the others...
LOL you are truely hardcore mate! My roof lining is still in, so far Ive had the centre console and seats out, changed the carpet over, rear seats are out, all factory seatbelts and mountings are out. Im leaving all the plastic interior trim in except what had to come off to get the rear...
hehe I feel I must address your two points clean16v -
firstly 144 is a nice figure but you *cannot* compare it in any way to anyone elses results, not even at the same rolling road. There are so many different and inaccurate ways of calculating flywheel power that its impossible. The only...
The best way is to never park anywhere with your Clio out of your sight! Just drive an old banger around the whole time and use the Clio on the weekends just for fun!
lol Ive *seen* a Nova cabriolet! Obviously it was a home-made cut n shut but the worst of it was that it was based on a booted Nova in the first place not the normal hatch! Oh, and it was brown.

lol ClioJohn, if theres nothing that you thinks interesting, have you thought of trying to post something interesting yourself that other people might want to get involved with? ;)
They all look rough I reckon. i was thinking about the same sort of thing and I pinned it down to two choices: 1, a Seat Cordoba splitter, £25 from a dealer. 2 is top secret and Ill PM you about it! Suffice to say all will be revealed once mine is back on the road and resprayed.
Well were all working hard on our winter projects Ben! What am I doing? Let me see...
turbo conversion
full respray, delocking and smoothing
stripping it and turning it into a 2 seater
chroming and polishing everything
tints
new registration
interior retrim
roll cage, harnesses...
Kevs dead right. R&A actually make them for the Clio although they havent sold a lot of them...probably for the same reason that I didnt get one and Kev didnt, and a lot of people didnt - because they are almost standard issue on any modded Saxo! Still might as well go for it if you want it, R&A...
Well if its head work then thats a bit better value - so its head, zorst, induction and chip? Not so bad I suppose if you dont mind spending the money, usually head work runs to about £400-£500 for a good job, an aftermarket airbox system say £200, full stainless exhaust system £400, chipping £200.
definitely 449 Sports Blue. As weight says that is phase 1 and 2. Phase 3 was Monaco Blue but I cant remember the Renault paint code. There never was a Williams Blue colour, its just what everyone calls #449 Sports Blue because it was used on the Williams
No no the ultimate snow plough is the Seat Cordoba splitter, that is seriously sticking out. Its wicked as well. I might get an Ibiza one for the rear just to bring it down a bit though.
Well we found out about French track day etiquette last year at Croix-en-Ternois on the Cliosport trip. But IMHO youd be lucky to get away with driving like that at a track day in the UK. Some lovely driving but if I was driving that Elise and someone cut me up that badly on a corner Id be...
Mines a bit boring really. About ten years ago went in a quick 300ZX and it seemed like the fastest thing in the world at the time. I loved the twin boost gauges!
