Cn anyone recommend any decent ones? My adaptor snapped and I was in a similar situation to Ryhs, but luckily only 1 pin snapped and managed to get the old ones off.
So im looking for a decent set that has a decent adaptor. Everyone Iv ever had have been flimsy. Someone recommended Vauxhall...
hahaha. So do you notice a difference afer the chip then mate?? How long do you have to book in advance before the car goes in. Im planning on going in a couple of weeks but not sure when my cars going to be ready yet so dont want to book anythin.

Dont think they are that quick mate, iv had a couple of blasts without any problems. Dump valve going like fook, and slowly dissapearing!
They can be easily tuned though!
Try putting the wheels back on and try to rock the car back and forward. Mine where stuck after a couple of weeks, took me a couple of mins but they came off eventually. Yours sound like they are a bit more welded on then mine though mate!
Cheers
i once let my mum have a go in mine. I was with her and she was hating it. She has a clio but she said it drives so much different and she felt she was too low to the ground! lol
I had a race with a mk2 2.0 16v and there was nothing in it. It started from 10 then down the sliproad then It lasted about 4 junctions down the M1. From 40-!10mph due to occasional people in the fast lane. I was behind so he had the initial boot before I did...!
Theres no question. Get the 16V!!!!!!! Even if the insurance is a few hundred more its worth it. RSI is nice but its just a fancy RT with a quicker engine in it. The 16v is in another league and is quite a bit faster!
RHYS-
What nuts are they mate? You said you had a couple of sets, I take it they are different?
If I sent you a SAE would you be able to send me one. I have no car access today. Wouldnt have minded a look at your willy...ooo er!
I was thinking about a different manifold but I then read the standard cast one is good enough anyway. Not really worth the £300+ pricetag.
Im also having, cams, verniers, ported & polished head on top of the balancing then uprated clutch to be fitted then to HP for a chip. Im not getting...
They dont fit very well mate. If you have the haynes max power book have a look at that one its about as far to the left of the hole as it can go. I used to have one on an old car and kept having to shift ot central every few days!
w**k
i decided I wanted to keep my original bottom end. But instead im paying a shed load to get it all lightened and balanced. With uprated bits. Better be worth it!
excellent mate, although iv just thought I might be working sat, ill let you know. If not i could send you a SAE for it?
As for the cam belt there was no sign. The car only had 65k and was running like a dream. Its not all bad though, I had to have some other stuff done while the engine is...
yeah your best off getting it all sorted while it has the warranty mate. Is it 3 months?
As for the adaptor im not sure if it is the reno one or not as it came with the car. It has 4 metal pins, 2 that are close together and 2 opposite that are about 10mm apart or so. Hard to explain but if...
