Yeah there were indeed from most club sessions...looked like a cruise out on track on some sessions - terrible behaviour from some people!
Also ~£20 for 15min, with comes with the added risk of no comeback if someone bins it on the first lap being a hero - Spend the extra and do a half/full day...
Question someone may be able to answer as Ive yet to see a clio box/diff fully apart and seperate.......
If the speedo is going up the diff has to be spinning correct? If not how is it driven?
If that's the case how is the diff spinning if the N/S shaft is still in place? Just shifting 100%...
Re: Mk1 F4R'd Track Car Project [2010 Winter Rebuild]
You mean the front one?
If so, no, just running it as an additional mount...
172 Chassis/Top Engine Mount
Mk1 Battery Tray/Gearbox Mount
Mk1 Rear Engine Dogbone Mount
172 '4th' Front Gearbox-to-Subframe Mount
Custom 'R5' Front Engine Mount
Does 100% NOT fit if you are using the old school Mk1 brackets (from Volvo 480 or low spec model clio), I tried the other day and its miles out from lining up with the tensioner bracket, both horizontally and vertically.
Although, if you run the Renault 5 GTX brackets, you can run the 172...
Its the same size as the proper 172 downpipe, as thats what its made from...
Take one 172 single box cat...
Cut the downpipe part off...
Take one Mk1 decat (only pipe I had to hand at the time), which is the same bore...
Cut one flange off and weld to downpipe...
Fit to car, adjust...
Would be interesting to actually see a 1/4 mile terminal speed of a s/charged 1*2 at Santa Pod or York, then that would be proof of what they can/cant do.
*and very good tyres with perfect grip...
Lighter you go less grip with the more power obviously. My speedo shoots upto 80 in under 5 seconds, but its all wheelspin obviously.
