Ad's got fitments on both ends, and I think thats a Jenvey rail, hmm. It will fit but its now obvious there will be no way of it bolting to anything to support it I guess, not the original holes anyway
Yeah ive f*cked that off anyway and blocked the Mk1 pump off...
Hmm interesting. Better see if the Mk2 pump/sender internals fit in the Mk1 housing then.
If I wanted to run the Jenvey rail then, just block the other end up with a plug correct? Thats if the Jenvey rail will even fit onto a...
Yes, Evo Walbrough pump fits the Mk1, but I dont think it has a regulator built in. AndyRg had to run an external reg at the same time with that too IIRC :dapprove:
Fred, does the Mk2 (Ph2) not even run a regulator at all, 100% controlled by the pump/sender or something?
got a Mk2 172 pump here, doesn't fit in the Mk1 tank...the ghey float system is too deep :(
172 are 3.5bar or 3bar? Wonder if there are any cars I could get a regulator off thats fixed and use that...
I find it quicker just taking the driveshafts out....out of the 9/10 times its been in and out this year ended up being quicker (the bottom bell housing nuts on the engine are the fiddly-est.
I just drain box oil, pop shafts out and lift the whole lot out. I had it out, gearbox off and clutch...
Id drain gearbox oil and remove the driveshafts first, then go down that list :approve: Id leave the gearbox on and swap them over out of the car, then put the new one in. Far far far far less fiddly.
Re: N/W Xmas Meet
Yeah, Muscrap Manor near the merc garage, there is also the Thorn Inn near lymm services where we went the past two years....or Springview near Lymm Services...or tons of other places lol
Re: N/W Xmas Meet
Id be up for a meal one weekend, the place we have been the past two years has been pretty good as im sure others would say too...
But Id go anywhere really
It was for the past year or so...function side was spot on. You'll realise there is a different side to it over the coming weeks/months...a lot to come :)
Temporary was some cheap pipe joiners and jubilee clips under the car, its lasted the year but im doing it all proper this time round. All...
Looks ;)
Im sure there are other reasons, but my main one is I want to get rid of the 'temporary' joints ive got that are linking the 172 lines to the original lines.
Quite possibly interested in that acctually. Im guessing the Jenvy rails already have a screw/thread type fitment for fuel lines? Although if not I can get around that by welding some fitments on.
Il have a research for some FPRs
Aye, expensive compared to Barrons offer...oh and the AT one...
Any alternatives out there that can be used? Even better if it has a reg built in like the Ph1 plastic one....?
I know James ran a modified Volvo T5 rail on his 172 conversion, but im guessing he had a seperate reg to go with it.
Trying to replace the plastic one with metal so decent fitments...
Yeah possibly....you might have a username and password, but just not have been told it by BT because they are giving out the home hubs...
If you can get them to give you the username and password for your account it should be plain sailing
Yeah, thats for the control panel on the router itself. The service username + password that the router uses to connect to the BT ADSL network is a different thing...back in the day it used to be your account number for BT and a password...these days not so easy I dont think.
You'd need your BT username + password for their ADSL service, and then plug the netgear router in, and input those details. In the days before the home hub sh*te everyone had their own username + password, come to think of it the BT business ADSL line we have has its own username + password...
Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
Got my hopes up when I saw the Porsche, then saw £1k, lol.
Oh well, think im gona keep hunting for a Mk1 poverty spec clio that I can put my valver seats into lol.
Yeah, ive seen that before, the first few pics look like my JB3 at the moment.......but also seen people on other forums machining their own retainer plate after seeing this on C16v (last pic)
