What are you watching it on? PC? Phone? You should be able to see a share icon on almost any platform. On a PC there's an arrow top right when moving the mouse over...that will give you the link.
Yes, no problem at all. It's an 'unlisted' video so it won't show up on my video page or on any YT searches, but for whoever has the link, and wherever you post or embed it, it's watchable.
Ha ha ha! I can't watch him ratcheting up my handbrake, it makes me cringe so much I just keep saying "don't worry, it's fine" in my head.
Your post hasn't helped me any.
Re. the video...I'll knock something up...
I forgot to mention that if anyone who sees their car on that clip would like a slightly less edited longer than four seconds upload of their pride and joy being run...PM me and I'll see what I can do.
It was far from drawn out, the whole day was quite fast paced really. You had at the most three to four minutes between runs, enough to digest or LOL at what had just happened and then you're off again.
I know what you mean about the 340; my first car was RWD, a Triumph Toledo (think Dolomite...
I get what you're saying...but the boost is always there, lag is minimal, and it just quickly builds boost and goes whenever I need it to...as you say though it does lack that dramatic build up and lunge for the horizon!
No comments on using the so called dyno mode. I asked him how he would do it and he told me. He's been doing it long enough and I (and many others) trust him enough to know that he's doing whatever he's doing the best way he can.
No exploration of drive modes either. I plan to datalog a bit...
He just stuck it on the rollers in normal 4WD mode, gave it a couple of pulls through and then that was it done. He said they generally sh*t themselves on the third pull and throw an array of lights up so he never bothers.
It doesn't feel like it goes like a 338 bhp car but it really does go...
Exactly this...there are zero surprises in the way the power comes in, any speed, any revs, put your foot down and you have a lag free 300-350 ftlb at your disposal.
Clearly he was showboating for the camera, tried to get a little angle, gave it the "seen it in the movies" quarter turn of oppo...
Having been sensitively run in 7k miles ago, driven enthusiastically ever since, and run exclusively on Tesco's Finest 99 since day 1, it was time to see where it's at...
Compared to book figures it's slightly down on power (-7bhp/-2%) but up on torque (+14ftlb/+4%). I'll take that. 300ftlb...
Ha ha ha, if he'd given it a proper armful of lock he'd have had that no problem.
Fully deserved outcome for being a muppet though. Ahem.
And the plate. That too.
Ha ha ha. Genuine LOLs. Suggestions or is my trying to convert you into an avid watcher a lost cause?
Oddly, and I really mean that...I find it very odd...I have a very good watch time stat...even when I load up these long ones a high proportion of viewers tend to watch them all the way through.
Oh he did...I just edited him out or else the entire thing would have been 50 minutes long! I wanted to focus on the drive of the 440...but he's still got the new car buzz so properly gushes about all the gadgets and stuff LOL
I have to admit I really did like it...right up until I climbed...
Thanks for arranging this Tim...mega turnout!
I was happy enough with mine...especially as Charlie said it was one of the better ones he's run.
Highlight of the day for me? After everyone had gone I was sat in the car setting up for a last short piece to camera...and witnessed this. Oh yeah...
