Does sound like a long time to leave it. But then again, these modern Clios dont need so much TLC to keep them running. the old 16v and Willy go through oil almost as quick as petrol!
K&N are tried and tested, dont know your particular model but Im guessing youve got a lot of room in your engine bay so an induction kit shouldnt lose you much power if any at all. To be honest, all cotton filters are the same as each other and all foam filters likewise. Its just down to how...
Bad boy is the way to go, if youre going to do it you might as well go to town on a standard flat bonnet and put in a pair of TVR radiator vents in it or something!
If youre interested in a tubular manifold for the valver, Supersprint do a stainless one thats a work of art. But you dont seem to be able to get them in UK catalogues, Sam Steffanson in Sweden can get them./
I tried it. And failed. After 4 hours of skinned knuckles from moving driveshafts and manipulating bits of the subframe and drivetrain around I had to admit defeat. The problem is although the head end of the manifold is an exact match on the 16v and Willy, the downpipes arent interchangeable...
Weird, youre actually in the same street in SWF? Surely you must have heard or seen the racket every time 3 or 4 Clios come round Jas house? Was it at the August Southend meet that a load of us went round there beforehand, about 7 or 8 Clios? We barely fitted in that bit of road!
Im all booked up at a bloody posh hotel near York racecourse. So as long as we get there in time, me and the lady wife will be out for din dins with the Cliosport gang Saturday night.
BTW you lot can get there at 10:30, the true hardcore will be there at 9am on the dot!
One thing I thinks worth considering...whenever Im behind Simons 172, it always looks a lot meaner than everyone elses...why? Cos its lowered. It really looks the part and seems to be able to handle a lot better than a standard one.
hehe glad there are some people on here who arent out to just rubbish everyone elses ideas/claims. 200bhp on a blown 1.6 is not exactly rocket science...true it might be hard to get a consistent reliable 200 but if money and time are no problem then why not.
I detect people missing the point...
Well firstly on all the old Clios, Champion were the recommended parts, there were no Renault brand stuff - the fuel/air/oil filters and plugs were all specified as Champion by Renault. Secondly, a so-called Renault filter is only gonna be a re-branded, price-doubled Champion or some other...
The cup doesnt run with a cover, its just a pointless bit of plastic. Theres nowhere that water can get in above the rocker cover and manifolds anyway.
hehe what a stitch up. Santa Pod is a dump, its not as if it costs them anything to run it apart from the staff. So thats half a dozen track marshals, and a couple of lads to run the track drying machine, then 3 signers on to register the racers and give out the times. Not exactly three and a...

Do what you think is right. They can look quite good on some cars, but the thing is you need your car to be very low and generally very big for it to look quality. Looks sh*t on smaller cars especially if theyre high up off the ground. The biggest no-no is being able to see the tubes.
I...
Most people I can think of who get better leads for their 16v use Magnecor. Theres a reason why most Clio tuners use them and not anything else. I dont think measuring a leads resistance is even half the story, its not just down to resistance, although Splitfire etc would like you to believe...
A bit less than a hundred - special discount. The genuine Renault clutches are Valeo. I suppose as long as the LUK is the same friction material and thickness and the springs and cover plate are the same then get LUK. The way I look at it is that it is such a b*****d job to do a clutch change...
