s1600 Pas pump running off camshaft

Yeah pretty standard stuff in that era. Bet the rack is mega money...

    Adeys F4RT Twingo GT

Outwardly rolled exhausts are so cool.

s1600 Pas pump running off camshaft

Would that fit on the K4M or whatever engine these used? I'm surprised they didn't sack off the hydraulic system and go electric really. One less fluid to worry about.

    Peugeot 208 GTI

These are better than the earlier ones aren't they?

    My New Volvo 240

I can't believe they were still making them in 1993. Mental.

    My New Volvo 240

I think these are a better looking car than the 740/940. A bit more character to them. I can imagine it's even worse to drive though, which probably isn't good lol. Is it just another quick flip like the last one?

    RS 220 to Megan’s 300 or AMG35?

Honda are launching a Sportline version of the Type-R, which doesn't look quite so mental as the regular one, so that might be worth considering. You'd have to buy new though obviously.

    RS 220 to Megan’s 300 or AMG35?

The problem for me is that I would vomit every time I stepped into the Merc. The interior is absolutely minging in my view. Current Mercs are far too blinging and tacky looking for my tastes. My missus had a previous gen CLA and it felt pretty cheap inside, especially the dash vents etc. Not...

A Yaris won't have holes in it like that.

Renault Laguna BTCC Super Touring Track Car Project

I don't remember seeing a dog  He has some lovely stuff in his workshop too. Mondeo was my favourite though.

What springs with cup shocks ?

Standard Cup probably. Most aftermarket springs are too stiff for a road car and, if it's just an occasional track toy, you won't have any less fun in a standard car. Unless you particularly want it lower, I probably wouldn't bother with aftermarket stuff unless you only use it on decent roads.

    Volvo Project Fail

Don't see many of those anymore! Is he still using it commercially, or is it just a showpiece?

Renault Laguna BTCC Super Touring Track Car Project

Yeah. It was based around the Mazda V6 used in the Probe and MX-6 I think, as you could use any engine from the group at the time. Apparently it was completely reengineered though, and the heads were ridiculously heavily modified. That's what a £10m annual budget does for you though :ROFLMAO:

It doesn't. Wings are cheap lol

Yeah I know what you mean. I'd love a Japanese car from that era. I grew up worshipping the likes of Top Secret, Jun, Trial, HKS etc etc. The R34 was the ultimate incarnation of that era of the Japanese car scene. A shame that the cars are now quickly moving out of reach. This one was in...

Renault Laguna BTCC Super Touring Track Car Project

Certainly nothing like the drive shaft going through the V of the engine like it did on the Prodrive-built Mondeo at the turn of the century  Or the Primera, where the steering column was basically horizontal, with a 90-degree joint to get down to the rack...

Renault Laguna BTCC Super Touring Track Car Project

I think things started to go really mental from 1997. I took some photos of a Mondeo for a mag feature a couple of years ago and the engine was in a semi-sane position. Ride height was still mental though:

Impala SS: This was cool - restomod Plymouth GTX. It had Recaro seats, Wilwood brakes all round and even had a modern ZF auto with paddle shift: I can't believe I didn't take more pictures of this! R34 GT-R Vspec:

Few more.... Original 427 Shelby Cobra: I've never heard of Stutz, but this is one apparently. This is one of seven coach-built cars, and was built for the King of Jordan. All of the switches and bezels inside were gold lol:

I went to the Ibn Mansi Auto showroom in Jeddah at the weekend. They buy and sell classic and interesting cars, especially American stuff and things with a royal connection. This is only a small part of the cars they have apparently... Riva speedboat that used to belong to the Saudi king:

It looks really clean. I've only ever seen one 16v in the UK. Such a rare car now!

Renault Laguna BTCC Super Touring Track Car Project

NA is totally the right choice. It wouldn't be a super touring rep if it was turbocharged. Get it to circa 200bhp and then remove every gram possible. Should be plenty quick enough then.

Renault Laguna BTCC Super Touring Track Car Project

Saw the Super Tourers supporting the BTCC at Oulton a few years ago. They're such amazing machines in the metal; so far removed from the road cars on which they're based. Few of the Lagunas:

All 197/200’s on the forum. Get in here!

Spotted one in Jeddah yesterday, even had Recaro seats. Bit beaten up though:

Spotted this rather battered Clio 200 in Jeddah yesterday. Don't think they were officially sold here, so could well be an import. Even had Recaro seats. Brabus-look Suzuki Jimny:

Like @-Jamie- says, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he's into dodgy s**t.

The Pista and F8 are a bit fussy for me. Even the 488 was pushing it a touch. When it came to the track-based specials, I preferred the simpler look of the CS and Scuderia. A regular 458 would do me nicely to be honest. Looks lovely, has the lairy NA soundtrack. Perfect.

Essential 340i Trip around the Citeh!

Great shots. Car looks lovely too. I'd have one of these over an M140i all day long. Much nicer looking car IMO

    Kangoo Compact (aka Racevan3)

The wheelbase is hilarious. It looks like one of those chopped down VW buses. Be interesting to see how it handles. How does the wheelbase/track compare to a Clio/Megane?
