One on top of wing. Must be mechanic doing MOT and two great long ones on rear panel. They a two foot long and go down. Can't work how they got there unless it's kids sitting or leaning against it at night.
Tried to remove with Scratch X and fill with SRP but they are still visible. Feel like...
Got these in back cause I one of back ones has blown:
INFINITY 5022i 135 Watt 13cm
What would you guys recommend for front circa £40. Wouldn't mind a bit more bass.
The remote joystick stereo control wheel is useless. I spin it one way and nothing happens, try again and it goes forward two tracks or sometimes backwards one! Is there a way to fix this without taking steering wheel off.
Also I'm sure someone said you can turn AM radio of so it's just CD or...
Spoke to Nic and he's going to have a look on Saturday. Spoke on phone to him. He was recommending I get all belts done for piece of mind but it is a lot of money. Depends how long I'm gonna keep car and how long it's gonna run well before costing me more money!
Turned out to be MAP sensor. Was running way rich. He pulled sensor out and stuck his finger over hole and it sounded better straight away. Bloody engine diagnostic cost me £73 though. It's passed now but god if I'd of known what it was I'd be £73 better off. Only took him 15 mins as well
It's 2001 ph1. Thing is it's been sat for a week but I did have a problem with it miss firing last week and had to take plugs out clean them and put em back in. When I cleared the engine management light it showed 512 destructive miss fire and up stream lambda sensor. Auto electricion said...
What do I have to do to fix it?
Fast idle test:
RPM 2645 Pass
CO Max limit 0.300 Actual value 7.434 Fail
HC Max limit 200 Actual value 389 Fail
Lambda Min Limit 0.970 Max Limit 1.030 Actual 0.794 Fail
Second fast idle test:
RPM 2772 Pass
CO Max limit 0.300 Actual value 2772 Fail
HC Max...
but you said if it's too tight it will whine as revs drop and to loose it'll flap. It wines as revs drop.
You said it sounds like they've co*ked up. If it can't be adjusted how can they. Belt off. Change tensioner and and idler put back on. All new Renault parts and fitted by a Cam Belt...
Mine squeaks for a bit longer but it's the whistling whine that does me. I think it may be too tight. Was hoping Fred would tell me how to adjust the pre tensioner but he didn't.
There must be some thing I can do. Gonna give it till end of week. Mechanic said he'd try to look tomorrow but...

Too cheap to be good?
Hillpower isn't that close to me. Not much closer than you. I wanted Nick to do it when I had it done but he was busy and the tensioner was sticking and I felt I need it doing quick cause the belt would go from tight to flapping so I paid a place in Notts. Some belt specialist.
They said the...
So how do you adjust tension? Can I get mechanic to do it or will you do it if I pop round end of March.
I'm in Derbyshire so can pop up but don't really wanna leave my car cause of getting back. I think it makes the noise as the revs drop. I just thought the tensioner did all the work but...
How can I raise downpipe so it doesn't catch and bang. Had SS exhaust fitted. Swapped all engine mounts and adjusted them but the knocking always comes back. It's defo the downpipe.
If I adjust the mounts it seems good a little while then it starts again. I heard about putting washers under...
Hi Fred. I'm off end of March. Think maybe could pop round and get car sorted properly. Damn Bosch Super 4 spark plugs playing up now. Back firing. Took them out and put them back in and it's ok. Just got engine light stuck on!
Also think my rocker cover is leaking cause bit of oil on top of...
So in the kit I got the idler etc. So that should mean that it's fine and it's the bearing on the alternator or water pump yeah?
Local garage suggested just putting a new belt on and see if that does it. What do you think. Anyone fancy having a look at it? Fred maybe?
