45 miles of b-roads tomorrow so will get a proper sense of how it feels and will post something in the evening.
I went out and filmed/data logged the 1.0 earlier so will throw something together vs my ST for a laugh.
Final thoughts on the 1.0, the brakes are up to it after all. It's a fantastic little thing. I reset the trip for the 5 mile drive back and got an indicated 68mpg.
MP215? Feels good. Not night and day different, only had a couple of opportunities to give it a squirt, but definitely harder...
Cuff Miller in Littlehampton. Won't be done before I get the kids from school so no chance of giving it some today.
Tomorrow's booked off as well though so have the whole day. Taking it to a mate who has a standard ST2 so we can try them back to back and side by side.
This is much better...
1.0 EcoBoost Zetec. To drive it's hilarious. Great noise from the three cylinders (but too quiet) and the grunt at 2k is mad. Feels far too soft and squidgy though and the brakes don't feel up to anything like a big stop. Brilliant car.
Thanks Gally, you spoil me. I'll bank those for private viewing later. First time I've seen green on black...gutted tbh, was planning on being individual and having lime green on mine.
I can vouch for this one...

I replaced the previous one I had for this one for two reasons, 1) this one's much much smaller...it means I can fit it then close the dash panel that it hides beneath instead...
Android app called 'Torque' to log everything and then a slight rework in Excel before importing it into RaceRender.
I did hit the limiter...it just doesn't bounce like the Clios do.
GoPro HD Hero 2.
Microphone was where the passenger's feet would be so it doesn't normally sound this...
This is the last weekend to get some footage and performance data before my ST gets the MP215 treatment on Wednesday so, as a synchronisation test and to whet the appetite of those waiting on delivery of theirs (I know of at least two), I went out and had a play. New phone, new OBD bluetooth...
I've never understood flat bottomed wheels myself, I mean, give that one an 1/8 of a turn, and the lower part is as low as if it were round.
What is the point of them?
Cat D cars can be a bargain...
Our Scenic is cat D. A former motability car, at 2 years and 16k miles old it had a gentle shunt needing a front wing, bumper, and headlight...then for some reason it spent an age in storage; the storage charges soon racked up so the insurers cut their losses and...
That's because most of the press don't properly read their press packs from the manufacturer and/or completely refuse to accept that 15 seconds of 200bhp means they actually have 200bhp.
When the car was announced it was also the first ever Fiesta to have disc brakes all round apparently (which...
Exactly the same as I did my 172 Cup...no WOT at low revs, kept the revs varied, stretched its legs occasionally. Doing that gave me the highest recorded RR figure for a standard car over on STOC.
It was much less effort than when I had my Cup as the torque means you can still out pace 90% of...
If I see one more person say they've got X mods planned to make theirs different before reeling off the de rigueur coloured overlays, wind deflectors, Focus high-level clear brake light lens, red footwell LEDs, silvervisions etc, I swear I'll find them and kill them.
Just coming up on 12k now...
Full Ford vehicle warranty remains intact...so they have to err on the side of caution. I'm happy enough with that...I'm happy enough with it as it currently is with just the 200bhp...but as it's a keeper for a full 5yrs/100k miles I'd be a fool not to optimise it as much as Ford will...
As far as remaps go it's nothing worth shouting about...+30nm (+22lbsft) and +15PS peak gains.
Throughout the higher rev-range the gain is more like 20bhp though...makes the top end come alive apparently.
My engine made torque of 225lbsft when at SRR in August so if I see the +22lbsft...
You say that but I've lasted 8 months and 12k miles on mine before I'm getting it done...and then it's only because you kind of have to with it being Mountune and Ford warranty approved.
Looked good when I flew past the other day Joe!
