    1*2 Gear Ratios

Thanks chaps. @JamesBryan are those Megane ratios the one that people take the fifth gear from for use in the Clio?

    1*2 Gear Ratios

Been doing some searching on this but not turned up much. Lots of people talk about different fifth gears and final drives etc etc. What are the standard Clio 1*2 gear ratios? Can someone just post a list of what they are, including the different final drives for the ph.1/ph.2? Also, for the...

    Rally project

Seems to be a few sump guard options about, but I've not seen any tank guards for these?

    172 Tarmac Rally Car

looks good that, should go fairly well. My friend has a boggo GTI that he uses for track days. Only cost £350 and it's been really reliable. Good little cars.

    Banther's New Golf

Got Conti Premium Contacts on my Clio and have found them to be really good. Hard wearing and perform very well in all conditions I thought.

Tune_R Motorsport customer build. 197 Cup Tricolore Class F Race Car.

Do like these. How do they compared with the 1*2s in Class F? Are they all pretty even? Wondered if the fact it's a bigger car might be a disadvantage.

They look very good. Apologies if I'm asking a silly question, but what disc/bearing will be used with these?

    200T VS 220 Trophy

23% off the new price? Where? Not that I am a huge fan of the M135i myself. What kind of mileage would you need to do to get a Golf R for £250 a month? Most I've seen are more like £300 a month over two years. For me it's more like £350 a month because I do c.15k per year. The Megane Cup-S is...

    200T VS 220 Trophy

I like the Kia, a lot of car for the money. I think the Clio 200 looks a right minger by comparison. I looked at Golf's recently and they are very, very expensive in my experience. For a boggo GTI on PCP it was £450 a month over three years. A Skoda Octavia vRS, which is the same car, only more...

    WP53 OKO - Glacier White - 172 Cup

Just read through this - I WANT this car!

    200T VS 220 Trophy

I was looking at the Megane Cup-S as there are some tempting lease deals around on them, but they are pretty poverty spec sadly. Put the Climate Pack on and it makes it a bit more bearable, but I think I would regret not having the Recaro seats at the very least.

    200T VS 220 Trophy

There's some decent lease deals around on Polo GTIs. I'm sure I found one for about £180 a month.

My 172 Cup on Williams Wheels

The extra width definitely adds something, and your ride height helps too of course. Yeah they are definitely nice wheels. Think they would suit the Mondial of my car a bit better if they were silver. The paint on them isn't perfect, so I might have them powder coated some time perhaps.

    200T VS 220 Trophy

Yes I did find the gearbox in the 200 EDC very frustrating. I haven't driven a Trophy to compare sadly. I drove a Golf R DSG last week and the gearbox was very, very good. Obviously the R is pretty pricey, but you might get a nice GTI for sensible money?

My 172 Cup on Williams Wheels

Are you running spacers Cub? Looks a bit wider than mine?

My 172 Cup on Williams Wheels

Well, with a new car coming soon, the Clio is going to retire from duties as a daily driver and probably become a full-time track car. The Turinis were in dire need of a refurb, and running 15" wheels makes much more sense for track days. I bought these a while ago and thought I might as well...

    Abarth 595 competizione

Quite smart looking in the blue, looks a lot more tasteful than the old one. Being a total 500 Abarth noob, what's the difference between a normal one and a 595? And a Competizione?

    Beginner DSLR, talk to me?

I think it depends how much you're going to use it. I don't do a huge amount, so wanted something that was ok, but didn't break the bank. I also use it for work on occasion too. We're going back a couple of years now, but I bought a used Canon 400D on eBay that came with a couple of lenses...

    JCC's FRS

Do like these a lot. It's a car I'd love to own but can't quite justify the price of it. Nice work though!

    Trophy or tweaked 182?

I've known a couple of people to have MK3 MX-5s and I wasn't really impressed to be honest. The interior looks ok from a distance, but once you get into it, it all feels a bit cheap and nasty I found. The ride was always pretty terrible in the Sport models I went in, as bad as my lowered Clio...

    K4M Rally Build

I would think you could just swap over the whole engine loom etc, but I'm sure someone on here will be able to advise you. I suspect it won't be as hard as it sounds :)

    K4M Rally Build

I think the easiest approach would just be to buy a ratty 172 and swap the whole front end over. Your car is pretty well stripped now so, if you think about it, you're halfway there already!

    K4M Rally Build

I have been thinking about this thread (I don't know why!) and I am beginning to lean towards the opinion above. Are you determined to stay in the 1600 class? The problem is that someone in a boggo Civic already has a huge advantage over you. I wonder if you might be better just fitting a...

I cant be the only one.

Bought mine as a temporary measure to last a few months, and am just over a year into ownership. To be honest, driving to work, it does my head in. It's noisy, uncomfortable and has no equipment on it. But, the smile it puts on your face when you're in the mood, makes it a very difficult car to...

    e46 M3 Individual. Version 2.

Thanks, very interesting. How fragile is the box? I suppose it depends on whether the car has had the s**t kicked out of it all it's life as much as anything. It's a car I have always had an inkling for I must say, and values will certainly go up rapidly at some point.
