Peugeot fans might have something to say about that argument too lol.
205 GTI, 106 Rallye, 106 GTI, 306 GTI, 306 Rallye, 309 GTI etc etc
As might Ford....RS Turbo Escort, Escort Cosworth, Focus RS (all of them), Fiesta ST, Focus ST.
I'd mostly agree with this. I drove one some time ago and it's a very impressive car. Gearbox is ace, engine revs well for a turbo and it is a quick car for sure.
I think Honda deserve kudos for making it, as it looks lairy and a bit silly. It will upset some people but good on them. It's just...
I actually thought I was being really careful but apparently it was too much for a 535i on budget tyres in the wet lol.
Proper brown pants; thought I was going backwards into the barrier. We were going so slowly that we went backwards towards the curb and it didn't even have enough momentum to...
This isn't just a simple update though. Fitting a whole new engine and transmission is a major reworking of the vehicle. If it's required repositioning of components in the engine bay, such as intercoolers, PAS gumph, brake parts, it would effect crash performance. The bigger engine might mean...
Agreed, if they make a limited run and they are mega money, they'll all sell, but a lot of people seem to be thinking this is going to be a proper production car for reasonable money. I remain sceptical about that, but we shall see.
It isn't the engine development that's the problem. I'm sure fitting and wiring up the engine was easy, it's all the regulatory stuff that comes with it. If it's the only Clio with that engine, they'll have to crash test it I should think. The wider body work and spoiler will have to go through...
Have they said they will actually sell some, or is it just a promotional thing?
It would be cool, a massive improvement over the base car, but I can see it being an expensive machine if they are only making a handful of them. Fitting the 2.0 turbo engine, manual box and new body work is going...
Looks ace that. Nice to see something like that being saved, bet a lot of them ended up on the scrap heap!
Must be cool owning something that you loved as a kid. I always wanted the Max Power Project 2000 Escort, would love to buy that!
Would this be new or used? Buying or leasing?
These are "ok" but, having driven one, I wasn't that impressed. Not a bad car, don't get me wrong, but there are some other great cars out there right now.
I did wander past but you were deep in conversation, then didn't see much of you again. I had a brief chat with one of the guys spannering on your car. I really recognise him from somewhere. I'm sure he knows some people I know from rallies oop north but struggling to place him
Well done on the...
Ah ok. Blinkin' Facebook, can do without that. Lovely car though.
I even took a picture of the wheel for some reason:
Nice to see one in excellent standard condition.
Some pictures from yesterday's Bolton Midnight rally, the last round of the MSN Circuit Rally Championship. @EVOgone was there in his Cup car and running very well indeed, knocking about the podium places all day and generally upsetting much bigger and more powerful cars.
A mixture of camera...
