The 182's probalem is that the standard wheels don't let the brakes cool the old 172 wheels and turbini's were so much better cooling the brakes the dynmaic wheels are also good.
The air filter is different as well.
But yep 182 manifold exhaust a decat and an exhaust and a reamp and you'g get the 182 power after a reamp. But there are easier and cheaper ways to 10hp like manifold work.
Turbo conversion/supercharger conversion could be done but personally if you want more power then normaly aspirated tunning is the way forward.
Its an electric stearing rack though.
I wouldn't get 25mm spacers unless your offset is realy messed up 10mm at most.
Weight won't matter though unless your realy into cars in which case you'd have spent a load of suspension parts and wouldn't be able to run 25mm hubs.
I'm useless on Geography so no idea where Herefordshire best bet is try PMing Fred on this link he charges a good cheap price.

I've had mine done underwarently.
Whiclst yes there service items there not suitable for purpose which is where you can calim for them.
Its not a huge job to get it done anyway.
Good memeory there all right.
The Mk1 172 uses a speedo sensor in the gearbox only about July 2001 onwards models used the ABs system to get speedo inputs.
Nope.
Have shop round GSF halfords etc 1.2 ones are usually very cheap say £50 then fitments only easy. OR ask on here someone will help you out. Drivers side is the easier one to do passenger side need to gearbox draining but least gives you an excuse to stick some new oil in.
Just pull that arm thingie down (its not the stearing arm sorry) Thats how I'd think a garage would do it otherwsie you have to start dropping the fuel tank or undo the torsion bar.
VVT activated at 1.6k and deactivates at 6.5k all it does is turn the intake cam by 14 degree or somthing (I forget from memory) its only there to help low speed idle and running and to help keep the power over 6.6k. The low down 4 or 5k kick is only ever so slight if you look at RR pribntouts...
It can be arranged either get it aftermarket done or get friendly with Renault Uk.
Porche do the same sort of thing (hence why there a pink Boxter) its £2k or something like that though and you have to wait ages.
I'd be interested in trying to explian to the insurance comapany a white one...
