There a load of bits you'd need to get the Cup pack forget it realy it would costs a lot to buy new (about £1k). Better off buying H and R coilovers (you need the ones for the 172 as the 172 and non cup packed 182's have the same suspension measurments) for about £700 they will make the car...
Thats cheap when you think the Merc dealership who used to service my parents A and E class used to charge £500 for a 2 service. and it always needed extra bit bills were £700 a time I think.
Since max to minimum on the car is 1 liter or so and you've done 2.5k and the tolerance by Renault is a liter ever 1000 miles I'd think it might just be one of those engine which burns oil. However as jon said most likly they didn't fill it with enough oil check your sump plus I bet they didn't...
Nope no damage just telling you the cats not working and your poluting the environment.
At the moment noone has a fix for the 182 problems on the 172's you just unplug the second sensor the 182 maps are different and that doesn't work but since its just a light don't bother.
The sign of any decient garage is that it hangs up on you if you say the imortal words I've got a valver/Williams, like telling them you've got the bubonic plague.
Anyway my old Williams was low seriously low as Middo said just drive onto some wood.
F4R is the engine code for all 172/182's
738 is for the 182
730 are for the mk1 172 (Some Mk1's use the 732 engine with a manual throttle body).
732 is for the 172 Cups
732 and 736 are for the mk 2 172's
Parts are interchangable there the same basically the Mk2 172 has electric throttle...
Its under the glove box bit computer like thing with a laod of wire. Now much you can do to protect it except checking there no leadk. If it does fail out of warently take it out and dry it and hope that fixes it.
Is that £20 because its family rates?
Also that woun't include for a new sump washer (£1) an air filter and oil filter (£14 and £7) plus a polen filter (£25ish).
When you start adding it up you say £30 for oil then £50 for filter etc the parts alone are £80 then its say 1.5 hours labour and...
30mm nut.
Though you'd have known Fred.
I just use a breakers bar and stand on it.
Never had problems by not stick a new nut back on though just make sure you use locking thread compound. Then again I'm stupid and it is a stipulation from Renault that it should be chnaged ever time.
It won't make a return as a Clio more lilyl as an alpine car and quite likly in a different shell maybe the Megan. They will want to do something as it was whilst a unprofitibale brand it lifted the brand it was the Concord of car production.
So long as the rubber can stretch just as much you should be fine. One popular easy option is to stick a bycycle repair patch over the area as this will work.
Only way to find out is to stick it on and go for a test I think Mikes passed with a full decat on it when he cheked but others have failed even with just a different back box in the past.
I'd think being as your cars not running standard maps you'd be fine.
The hubs are the same so it doesn't matter.
The Mk2 phase 1 1.6 16V used the 259mm dikst the other models used the 239mm disk all Mk2 2 none Rs car s use the 259mm disk.
You sure fred 172's are 54mm 182 Cuped are 60mm
Mk2 phase 2 are 99% 58mm only a few early 1.2 had the 52mm hubs.
Mk2 phase 1 1.6 16V and 1.9 had the 58mm hubs I think on all cars.
Parts like brakes, clutches and shocks arn't covered under warently as there wear and tear items but if they fail prematurrly like mine had done then its deemed to be a warently claim as they shouldn't fail in 50k or so etc.
Neither.
Sat nav only works on the straight to be totally accurate the speedo about 5mph out so I just worked out what the true speed is by knokcing 5mph off the clock speeds.
After checking though the affects of tyre wear on the speedo (after all a smaller wheel near the limits doesn't travel...
There already a 4 pot setup out for yor car used stock 259mm disks and the none dust sealed calipers Fred will have more details it was some sort of buolt buy it is £420 or something.
Its just the same, no need to do the filter realy. Undo the sump plug, drain the oil out. New sump washer tigthen the plug back up and pour the new oil in. 20 minute job.
Arr right now I get you well if you order 58mm and they keeep sending the wrong one they its there fault I'd not think you'd get any compensation though.
Thing is with part ex depends hwo much money thay have to play with I could give you £15k for a Ferrari etc as the ferrari may being sold for £20k more than it was bought for.
Depends what you do is you just want 210 or so hp and you've no air con ie a Cup and have an SMT anyway and don't change the clutch then not to much maybe £4k if you have aircon then you've got to remove it or find a more expensive place to put the charger (maybe use the battery space and but...
