Yep it cna be done but the price for bils is hight there loads of fixes depends how you want to do about it a good idea is to run it of an AUX belt and remoce the air con from your car and use the space but without going change the CR by head gasgets or pistons maximum powe ris about 210hp maybe...
£8.5k it depends you might find loads of buyers you might fine none. I'd stick it up for £9.5k personally and see how it goes somone might pay that money for it.
It doesn't take long to have the service done you can always arrnage to pick a courtesy car up one night after work and drop it back the next day and pick your car up. i wouldn't bother paying to servic it early I'd have the oil changed but you can do that yourself.
I'll have to see if I can borrow the car for a test drive for a day then.
The only other idea is does the person who's paid for the track time the only person entitled to drive the test cars or if I sign on as a second driver can I have the time?
Will it be availiable for test drive if your not booked on? As I've now sold my Williams I cannot attend (unless you know somewhere I can hire a 182/17/Williams for a day).
You'll need some spacers to get the rear wheel out a bit.
I have a similar problem with my car on stock wheels with wider tyres and i've left it its worn away so much of the liner but it won't wear away any more it depends how bad or how much you want to sepdn easy way is to cut the offending...
I agree they seem very expensive however I had Willwood none dust sealed on the Williams and they were fine for road use amsome brakes and with the group buys gettng prices down to under £500 including disk for Williams/1.8/an other none RS cars cars I cannot belive there are so much more.

Is it worth it hum depends I'd never pay more for one only less it depends what you want I'd personally go for a full fat even though I do track days as I like abs and the toys ragardles of the speed...
They shouldn't cost me less than a full fat of simialr spec some people ask more though.
Came out of a 52 plate I think the early ones and there some on an 04 plate but there rare.
1400 or so made from memory.
Dead easy to chnage them 40 minutes it take me and I take my time.
£50 at most labour and thats extorsion rates
£60 for disks
£17 for pads
Thats at worse £127. Even if you get DS2500 performance pads there only £60 pads.
Some old old Mk2 phase 1 had smaller 239mm disk the new Mk2 2 cars like your has the 259mm disk and Renault 5GTT/William/1.816V pads. All MK2 phase 2 (ie the ones with trigular front lights) have the same brakes unles its a V6 or a 172/182.
The garage and most brake companies don't know what...
As jon said the Megan box has a big mating face you could do use the Megan/Lagun etc lower engine and bolts th 172 head on and best whilst your at it swop the pistons from the 172 doner etc as there higher CR. Also you'll need to have the head drilled as the 172 uses a high CR.
The new RS clio...
Its best for a car to deform a rigid shell like a Land rover is dangerous in a crash as it just stops you dead a Clio will deform and slow the acceleration on your body down to acceptable levels.
You like challange I like that.
For starters you'd need
New aux belt with associated pump for the gas.
controls for the car.
ECU changing or least Renault changing the software so it knows aicon is present so it increases rpm when necessary. or you need to bodge this the compressor cuts out...
I'm glad I don't have it I saved from not paying originally for it plus with all the rads I've killed upot now I've have been paying a load to keep it gases and fixed.
Plus think of the drain on power and mpg.
Dead easy to chnage rust its the only issue.
Undo the two bolts holding the ball joint to the arm, its a 17mm spanner on top and 16mm nut on the bottom from memory.
Then undo the bolt which holds the ball joint into the hub it can be a pain to get out but douce it in penetrating oil however...
Get the standard one I had an uprated one and it was terribly heavy plus it failed in a few thousand miles due to very poor build quality. The stock ones fine upto over 200hp.
