    If anyhting your car should be rnning lean ie no dark smoke. Dark black smoke indicated overfuling I'd guess when your intake manifold was replaced the injecotrs or somehting got damaged. The engine will compensate below 75% throttle and 4k but above this it won't.

    if you've no warently I'd chnage at 4 year s or 60k whatever happens earlier if it breaks its going to be expensive so might as well chnange it. Its p[art of the 72k service so which cambelt might only cost £250 the service is another £250 etc at a dealership. Rentech/Gdi will do the service...

    Does the light on the dash stop flashing if so then its not an imobiliser issues if it stays on or flashes still tyhen its an imobiliser issue.

    Is the aux belt same as the alternator belt?

    Yep there two belts on the car one is the cambelt which only drives the cams and is under a cover. The other os the AUX belt powers all the rest of the things alternator PAS pump aircon coolent pump. Only thing which isn't on a belt is the starter.

    You'd need the hubs as well and driveshafts and the suspension will make the car higher and handle badly.
