So I am pretty much there with getting parts for my rep, however I am just wondering how the side skirt brackets are fitted onto the sill.
I presume I'll have to drill through along the sill and then pop rivet them on? Dont have a problem doing this. Do they have to be any set distances to match...
I'm not sure what sort of cover the renault garage will have given you but I have a feeling it might have only been the 12 months/mileage limit.
Really sorry to hear about this though! Most likely has been the aux going and taking the cambelt with it. Think aux is recommended for change every...
If you're sensible about it, it's not too bad. It's like owning a 182 and people saying to you don't do any mods to it as it won't add value and you should save for an a class merc or something. If you get my drift...
I was going to dye it with dan too but I just had enough suede left over from my doorcards so felt like that was the way to go to be a bit different. Also its cheaper as I dont have to buy more sprays. I just dont want sag, sag is never good.
I'll pour some water on it tonight and see whether it's dripping through. There was never a wet headlining before at all. I'm going to be refitting the headlining with velcro too rather than double sided tape as if I ever need to take it out again it's easily done.
And @RyG I didn't really think...
I have removed the headlining from my clio so I can retrim it in alcantara/ spray it black. However I have noticed that now I have some water dripping from the sunroof area. I dont know if this is just from condensation or whether there is a leak. Why wouldn't i have noticed it before though...
Saw an arctic in huddersfield the other day, wouldn't be suprised if it was the same one. Unless @dann2707's parents really didnt appreciate the tarmac dents and drove his car into a lamp post
After having my ipod stolen I have been thinking of ways to reroute my cables from my radio so it's more out of sight. The only problem is that my radio only has front aux input/usb input rather than rear. It does have 2 RCA outputs... Can I connect to these with an aux in at all or is it not...
I've managed to source a passenger side glass for £10 and also got a new 4th gen ipod touch 32gb for £30 which isn't bad. Money i didnt really want to spend but may aswell upgrade whilst im there...
I was checking gumtree and facebook groups and tbh all they had to do was reset it back to factory and i couldn't differentiate it from all the other ipods out there.
I've cleaned up all the glass just about tonight, just need to get a window now. How hard are they to fit? Any guides?
Wasn't on show really no, i guess they just saw my aux cables. Dont really want to go through insurance really anyway as i'll have my excess to pay and it'll be cheaper for me to replace myself
Well had my first day at my new work today, thought i'd drive down as raining and wanted to be in time... wish i didn't now!
Got a call from my mum whilst at work letting me know the police had contacted her and that my car had been broken into. They stole my ipod touch 4g but thankfully left...
Oh wow I'm jealous! It was barely on ebay any time at all. Trying to find a decent rb but will have to get saving. This one was too far away, look forward to seeing what you do with it
I might be free on the sunday, see if i'm working or not. Might just tag along with @dann2707 or he'll tag along with me if his clio doesn't pass mot 🙈:kissingheart:
Some nice roads near digley just out of huddersfield which isn't too far from the sculpture park? Nice pictures next to...
Car's looking sweet! The turinis do look mint, was the dephaser OK after a diy job? And also use proplates.co.uk for 520x85 number plates. Have to email them to ask for one but they're about £10-15 cheaper than fancyplates for small front and standard rear.
It's just the condensation forming underneath. I can guarantee if you do a long trip and look under your cap there will be no oil. You'd also have mayo in your coolant if your hg was fucked.
I doubt your HG is actually gone. As they're plastic covers on the engines you get this build up of mayo under your oil cap if only using the car for short journeys. I'm sure it'll be fine, but you may have a coolant leak somewhere else (typically off the thermostat housing I believe)
Buy a bluetooth reader for your phone. Plenty of threads on here about them and about 5 quid on ebay. Great item and just work with torque on your phone.
I'd say it was more than 1mm tbh, as it's literally scrubbing on the rear bumper under the arch. Such a ball ache after a long day replacing everything else haha
I would probably have gotten slagged off if I asked whether it was worth me declaring mods on here, so it could've gone either way!
I'll give them another ring tomorrow in regards to replacing "like for like" with standard clio parts and see how they go about it. If in doubt, play dumb.
Sounds like a good idea. When I did speak to them yesterday all I said was I was just enquiring as to how much modifications would actually cost me to insure. I then went on to ask how much it would be for a rear clio sport bumper to be fitted would be and after being put on hold was told...
To a certain extent this is fairly true as the PO had scraped both front and rear bumpers on walls... So was my main inclination to actually repping it as I may aswell buy nicer looking parts if i'm having to spend money anyway.
