It's not the calipers that are sticking...it's the discs and pads rusting and sticking together.
Had it on mine since new - apart from having to break the binds between the discs and pads when I pull away, all other aspects of the brakes function 100%.

Because to make good progress in a 1.2 you'd really have to drive it, whereas if you want to remain safe you can't really do that on the roads in a 1*2.
