They don't offer track insurance.
When I had my claim they were very good no paperwork (just a quick few questions when i told them saying where it was etc) coutesy car when I needed it. They weren't very competitive though for renewal.
You need to see Renault about getting the new metal bit of the key and a bank keyfob then there are a few people on here with the computer you need to make the key syncro with the car. But there so few people best idea is to pay Renault.
The key is £20 or so the Fob £30 then it takes 45 mins...
Its the button you use to cycle through the trip computer setting. If you don't have one then you have to press the button on the dial you use to rest the trip milage.
You don't need any more braking even on track if you feel you do you need 4 pots.
The big didk conversion does look good though just not much more power.
You can tune them but its very expensive there 4 cams rarther then 2 in the 172/182 there 6 cylinders so 6 injectors. Plus there quite heavy.
I suppose you have to drive one to know if you want one a Cup in 99.99% of owners is quicker on the road and track and less touchy. However thats not...
Go with the Apex 40mmor so kit then its quite cheap and good value.
personally I'd spend it all on suspension its makes the biggest difference. FK coilovers then if you have some spare some Cup alloys or similar light weight alloys no bigger than 16 though personally.
The rear bumpers damages so get a new one they crack when hit and adsorb the damage and noone can tell until you have a nother crash and since its failed ones it won't protect you the same.
Gte the suspension allignment checked as well just to be safe its unlikly its that badly damaged though...
Dead easy.
Go to halfords and buy there one person pressure eazy bleed kit under £20 from memory.
Then buy some decient fluid preferably 2 bottles as if you run out its annoying you should only need one though.
To bleed them
1) Assemble the pressure bleeder as per instuctions fill with fluid...
Nope there are a few high milage one.
Chic and nicm have 60k on there or more by now.
Yozza car had 80k on it when the engine failed about 6 months ago I think its on more like 95k by now with its new engine.
I'm sure there at least 2 cup's I've seen with over 100k on them.
Any idea how the...
Yep I'm say its just bleeding it does make a huge difference. Thats one reason why you've a problem on one side. I take it you've just had new pads as you realy should bleeed the system when you chnage pads else this happens although after time or hard braking the fluid does go off.
Just make...
My mates got one brand new boxed up I'm trying to get hold of him but he's not asnwering his phone.
I think he'd sell it for £250 its on ebay at the moment.
There all about the same realy the stock setups very good realy the same design is used on the whole range upto the 105 hp model. IK or custom intake is needed if your going to push over 120hp or your despirate. The 57 kit is probably just a rempacment panel filter? If so its better but no gains...
You have tunning potentila from the 1.6 but its expensive.
Stick with normal tunning of cams head work throttle bodies (or custom maniofold (not easy throttle bodies are the only realistic way) and thats £5k or so gone and you'll be pushing on for 160hp.
Best check for insurance the 1.6 16V...
Best drop a 172 engine gearbox etc in instead. Slightly less power than turbo but more economic and more relaible.
These facilites arn't hidden on none 172/182 all the cars have them. I don't think your's will though as it the previuos phase they facilities only came in on the new shape cars...
Personally I'd get FK coilovers (~£550 from john2modified etc) then get them set up and the car corner weighed (£120 or so) fit them yourself for free or get the garage doing the corner weight to do ti for £90.
Thats will make the biggest difference to the car I'd personally go down this route...
