    192 or 197hp I belive (most likly 197hp cliamed ie its an RS 197) but will be 192hp due to the way the French HP differs from a UK HP. 1.2 tones so heavier than a 182 but 6 speed box a bit more torque (10NM) will help keep the 0-60 time up arounf 182 level.

    Oil Filter Change Help on a valver?

    Yep its an 8mm square plug. You cna use a screwdriver to get them out if you've got a big enough one but you'll end up damaging the nut.

    I think mine took about 1/2 hr a side just take the old ones out and use it as a guide to make the new ones then thread them back in. You can get cutters which cut the pipe and won't cruch it.

    £1.5k was quoted but you could do it yourself with a garage it just needs the car taking to pieces and all relevent swopping.

    You could cut the pipe as close to the junction as possible and put a new union on and crimp the line again but I don't like that idea personally.

    All the bits to do a 172 transpnat are only £1.5k + vat so it seems uneconomical to tune the 1.6 as it will become weeker and less reliable and need a new gearbox anyway.

    Airbag controllers

    Your airbags work anyway, the side ones probably won't though if you've got the wiring issue. Renault can do this switching off of the side airbags by telling the UCH via a Clip (Renault PC) that the car isn't fitted with them hence no light as it doesn't think there should be one anyway.

    Difficult one. If you have a car with zeons UK spec it has to have the jets and they have to work when new and for the MOT. However your not due an MOT for some time. If you import a car without zeons then you don't need the jets. Not sure how the legal implications work but thats the basic...

    You can just stick the resisters in the wiring and it will go off for good. Renault can using the clip tell the UCH your car doesn't have airbags so it won't set the light off and this is the best option but might be trouble getting dealerships to agree to do it. Having the aibags unplugged...

    H and R are superb and much cheaper than Leda. Leda are one of if not the best. I'd go for Leda I think but I'd want to try them first.

    You can upgrade 1.2 brakes to 1.8 16V brakes jsut need the 1.8 calipers and disks etc.

    Personally either wire in the airbags or remove them. The units are different but the voltage etc is the same. The plugs are different but that can be fixed with soldering. You cna stick a resister in the wiring to fool the system to think theres an airbag there its very easy.

    Its a right pain best IMO to get a thin type oil filter. How to get it out depends how long and dangly your arms are. My prefered method is to get one of those tools to remove it which is like a bike chain. Then lie under the car and reach up to the gap to loosen it. Then get up and reach down...

    There little difference the 80 doesn't sufer from lag when the turbo gas get very hot its very hot but you have to drive it loads back to back to notice. A bit more power yep but its not huge the 100 is good but more expensive again. They seem to thrive on milage don't worry about high milage...

    There was a swop over about 53 plate but some later registered 53 plates don't have it as they were built but not registered for a while.

    I'm not sure why you think Si wouldn't post the pics its not like he's going to lie about crashing his car and writing it off is he? Are you sure its the same car I'd check the chassic numbers etc as Si's car did stand out somewhat.

    No airbags problems the Cups don't have side airbags. As for the seatbelts err no problem either unplug them or cut black wire and the computer thinks you've pluged the seatbelt in. To fit them assuming you've chnage the mounts you need to unbolt them from under the car.

    You'd have to be mad to rebuild the car from what I've heard. Si hasn't crashed his new car which doesn't have ABS, infact maybe ABS wouldn't have saved the Cup.

    Thats a lot but it depends where you are you should be able to get it done for £150 or so. The rubbing is probably the archs cathcing on the wheels it shounds stupid but as standard they rub.

    You can pick up a different engine for £250 or so anyway. Condition is more important than milage.
