Gte the fabrication detials for a aly trophy and use those to order/check the part codes.
You might find some dealerships havnt updated there cds stll list the troply cars as normal 182s. Since after all its only one batch of 182s which are trophy cars.
H and R come highly recomended for the money.
Lead/ Blistein are probably the best but at £1.5k most people arnt willing to pay and youd not notice a huge different over the £550 or whatever H and Rs
What can I say Im lazy.
That place is a bad influence on me though its a bad sign when everyone there knows you even the one or two who havnt even met me. My reputation precide me there.
I need a bigger hammer I think though, Freds just as bad an ifluence on me as Demon Tweeks.
Yep going back there with you all.
The brake bias has been adjusted as the cars been lowered but its only a simple spring and nut to adjust it. I think they just let of the brakes to much.
I think so. However if they have to put parts on you car say new spark plugs etc then I think you might have to pay for them then you claim from Renault for them.
You cna get CLio mounting rails so they just bolt on.
I think thats SICUPs old car and Ive got the same seats in my car. There cheap and not that comfortable though. SICUPs now left CS though.
Seatbelt pretentioner shouldnt be a problem sicne you cna just leave the normal belt attachments there.
The fans will run for upto 5 minutes from memory so long as the temperature of the coolent is over a certain temperature until either 5 minutes are up or the temps falls below that.
Its probably a powerful fan as they arnt that big a radaitor I dont think.
Most people dont go messing with brake bias valves but yep if you do and use the car hard on track days your right uprated pads would be helpful however 99.999% of 172/182 owners (infact most car owers) will never do this.
I wish mine were working at the back after all the abuse Ive given it...
Nope more like 90 /10 if that. Although it does depend the weight on the rear axle.
Serously you wont have problems people on here run 172 brakes front and drums at the back with no problem on 290hp+ Clios. Disks are even more powerful so you can see there overkill more expensive pads.
You...
PCD 100mm refers to the spacing between the bolts on the wheel and the 4 refers to the amount of bolts . 100PCD 4 is the Clio setup.
6J refers to the width of the wheels in inches ie a 6j is 6 inches wide.
15 refers to the size of the alloy in inches.
You realy need to need the offset of...
I agree with you and so does ever racing driver even the insructers at the track said the back end being as it was was helping laptimes however Im still a little apprehesive with a light rear end on a car after all a light rear end of my dci caused me to crash (ok other factors were present but...
Not sure for definatly but I think its 5W-40 from the factory semi synthetic.
Changing oil is easy under the car there the panel covering the engine there a gap where the sump plug is.
As for the dipstick its in an annoying place its down infront of the engine in the middle of the engine...
No N/A engine responds to remapping well there very little extra there.
The chips do come highly recomneded though from somoene I know who has one but Ive not been out in the car yet be interesting to compare.
Ive got one its better than stock (ie quicker) but Im not convinced I wouldnt pay for one. Particularly that much money for one.
However you cannot go rush the Renault box so I dont think Im any quicker with it than without.
To be fair it is better than the stock 182 with Cup bits. The only problem IMO is the rear now needs some work I kept having back thourght about having th back stepping out. Even if it does stick Id still like some more stability back there.
Looks like they have sorted out the brakes so that something not to worry about for track work.
Its about as quick as the present cars 192hp but more weight and a 6 speed box helps 0-60 times.
Id get some better calipers personally. The 182s brakes are very good but for track work there not that good. I only had to drive my Williams with 4 pots back to back with the Trophy to realise how good they were.
4 pots wont be cheap (£350~400 Id guess) but they wont wear out disks or pads...
