It'll be this tbh.
Mine was doing it last year, when I had the brakes replaced I had them clean the callipers and grease the sliders,
it solved the problem and it's not come back since.
It'd look good if it wasn't for the stupid lights.
So it would seem your options are a non sport grill, made out of crappy plastic.

A Campus grill, made out...
Well unless you want the grill off a non sport, which actually looks worse than the RS grill imo,
then some kind of mesh is pretty much your only option mate.
There's this, which personally I think looks terrible but each to their own.

What don't you like about the...
I've already been looking at rolling shells and 1275 engines.
If I had both of them i'd literally have no clue where to start,
but i'm sure everything I need to know is on the internet somewhere,
there's only one way to learn and that's to get stuck in.
Obviously if I can find a working Mini...
I just simply want that Mini Type R, it's the coolest car i've seen in a long time.
I'm now 100% certain i'm going to build my own Mini, I just need to learn how the hell to do it. lol :o
There are so many cars I want, but if they're too mint it just makes me paranoid. :dapprove:
I'm all about Classic Mini's atm, i've been looking at 1275 engines today,
I know sod all about engine rebuilds, but there's only one way to learn.
Then i'd just need a rolling shell, not that i'd know...
You're such a Ford wh*re. lol
Yet you drive a gay German hairdressers car. ;)
Although it's the smart move if you want your car to start in the morning.

When I was driving to Stratford Upon Avon on the A46,
I saw so many MK1 Escort's and Cortina's I nearly crashed from drooling over them.
There's a lovely pic of a Mk1 Lotus Cortina in you gallery,
please post it as it's amazing!
In fact I think you should post all of them, as there are so...
A few lads have had a go at making a K-Tec style IK,
pretty much exactly the same but at a fraction of the cost.
All part prices and where he got them are in the link below.

You buy a box that connects to the ODN port under the ash tray and to a laptop,
you buy the correct map for you VIN, then use your laptop to upload it. (piece of piss tbqfh)
A K&N IK will more than likely lose you power due to heat soak, atm everyone's banging on about...
A remap won't give you big power increases, but a Fastchip remap with an RSTuner box is a good idea,
it's a generic remap but it smooths out the 5k kick and massively improves the lumpy idle and cold starts.
Combined with a decent exhaust and new/clean air filter, it will make the car more...
Yep 5k rpm kick is normal, mines remapped with an RSTuner box so the 5k kick has been smoothed out.
I put it back to normal a year or two ago, I didn't like the whole nothing....nothing....nothing.....5k rpm....at last some power.
Standard engines feel broken to me now.
I wish the 172 didn't need it's belts doing, i'd be buying that today as long as the chassis isn't too rusty.
I'd be stripping it down and fully rebuilding it mint, then drop in a 1275 engine and gearbox.
Really want a Mini project. :(
I quite like that tbh, but I agree with Knuckles on the chicken wire,
mesh is a good idea you just need something a bit better.
On the whole though it's a good effort mate. :approve:
