The 197 really grows on you, looks great from behind. Not too sure about the front still though... Its very sure footed through the twisties, looked a lot more stable than the 182s and 172cup imo.

yeah they bumped my renewal up by £200 this year (currently 25) so I'm going with Admiral instead as they quoted £471 with my exhaust compared to elephant at £600 odd

i guess you paid more for the warranty, I have an 04 182 with 32k miles and think i'd be lucky to get £7750 for it. But dealers always cost more.

play elephant admiral and bell direct off against each other, I have for 5 years now and my insurance goes down by £100 a year.

Lots of 3 year old 182's failing MOTs just now as the car comes of age. The Catalytic convertor being a common problem, £700 for a new one from Renault (£100) for a 2nd hand one here or ebay.

aye non cup 182 is different, it's a hybrid of 172 hub with wider 182 track so you'd need camber bolts and possibly slotted top bolt holes and camber bolts to give you the correct camber using 172 parts. ^ oops edde beat me to it. For any non cup 182 owners out there Koni are developing...

dunno but u got any interest in 2 14" oz f1s? was mis-sold them could use them for track days or 1/4miling the turbo. £60 for you sir. brand new in box no tyres.

gti is defo more fun than the 182 imo but I had both at the same time and as a result stopped driving the gti. Out the box the handling is tremendous and parts are so cheap. Looks tidy, shame it's not Miami Blue ;)

what mileage do they recommend for cam belt again? aux is at 36k isn't it? so are you all hittin 72k?

I think they're maybe more accurate than the speedo. Cruise control gives a different figure again.

is it cotton or foam? Motocross bikes use foam filters so I use a motocross filter cleaning kit on my ITG
