welcome back, i'll be interested in seeing it at a meet sometime. Meg was nice but ur reasons for changing make sense.
£160 a month is very cheap, but £5k deposit u say?
My 182 was £210 a month
coming from a VW be prepared for a shock to the system - build quality aint fantastic but the handling and bang for the buck is great.
If you see yourself doing engine mods just get the 182 as the mods will be begging for the improved exhaust manifold the 182 has.
The 182 does make better...
I've phoned a few places tonight and just cant get a good quote. Someone even said 182's are hard to insure... lol pish!
I guess they're screwing you cause they know you don't have much alternative, see if Neil can help he is very good to be fair he has quoted me and offered me an alternative...
they have?
Didn't you get new quotes before accepting their renewal? I'm going with admiral this time I think as with my exhaust they're quoting me £471 which is more than £100 cheaper than most companies have quoted, Greenlight came close using the dreaded Highway @ £525.
The guy who wrote in complaining prob went in in a tracksuit with a gold chain and socks over his trousers.
at 21 they told me I couldnt afford a 2nd hand 172 and weren't going to let me test drive it. I talked them into it and then went and bought my new 182 elsewhere to spite them.
Iain i bought some the week before last from a dude on ebay.
Yozza is your best bet I was just lucky.
Renault quoted me over £200 with bearings pressed in and £170 or something silly without bearings.
GSF have them at a better price than Renault but aren't Renault parts.
Yozzasport are...
proof is in the pudding, many on here use the max and the come highly recommended which is why I dingied the sports - I didnt want to be the guinea pig.
Had to stick with High Carbons this time due to other expenses though.

£132 ish when posted.
I was told that Brembo Sports:
Are better than max by a guy trying to sell them, he reckoned there is more motorsport technology input... I bought the High Carbons from Yozzasport instead.
are they worth it? dearer than discs... (High Carbons...)
I went for Green Stuffs for under £50 delivered from a guy on ebay (seems to be GSF he works for).
my 182 will comfortably return 37mpg when on A roads for 4 - 4.5 hours averaging between 65 and 70mph.
Yes averaging i.e illegal speeds on the straights slowing down to still illegal speeds in most bends
cool sounds like ur pushing around 199brake then based on 193/194 + 5/6 and also based on 20brake more than standard.
rather simplistic point of view on my part but... lol
