Reko - has that cured it for good? It sorted me for a few days and now it's just back to it's squeaking every few seconds!!

So to revisit this, the squeak has come back! I've ordered a new exhaust mount and metal bracket from Adam, so not a cheap ebay jobby, and got 3 screws rather than 2, so hopefully things will improve! Will update with progress after I've fitted this weekend.

MOT tester told me I could put blanks in and it would pass, I wanted to get the pump replaced and get them working though.

Replaced the number plate bulb unit as it had corroded, easy job! Weekend saw me replace the headlight washer pump and adjust the headlights, although still not sure how they're supposed to be aiming for MOT retest on Friday! ​Ordered a replacement tyre from Camskill too.

You'll be pleased to hear that I have working headlight washers then :) The only things left to sort are the headlight alignment (I've requested the garage sort this when the retest is done on friday), and fit the new tyre which I ordered from camskill earlier.

Or it could be an exhaust mount that needs greasing, although maybe not if it only happens in slow traffic. Mine happens when doing anything!

I haven't noticed any real performance gains since my KTR induction kit was fitted, although I think it works better if you have uprated cams?? Certainly sounds great on full throttle :D

Possibly, although I had the wrong plugs put into mine last year, Dan changed them last month and it's driving properly again.

And if it's not revving past 6500 when it's warm, check you've got the correct spark plugs!

Yeh took me about 20 mins of filing and eventually got it back on. I've f**ked the wiper though, looks really damaged! Will replace it one day, I'm not fussed about it looking perfect atm.

I ended up buying a small tool from Halfords to remove one of the wipers, and replaced the faulty pump with a £14 one from euro car parts. One of the headlights wasn't in properly (couldn't tell as there's a massive Ktek induction kit blocking it!), so put that in and twisted in - I'm just...

I've bought a new pump but can't remove one of the wipers so not sure what to do!! O and the registration bulb was out too, thought that would just be a case of changing the bulb but still not working :(

Both headlamp washers not working Both headlights aiming too low I presume the headlamp washers I can just replace with blanks - is there a guide anywhere for this? Headlamps aiming too low, I had a search on here and someone said something about an allen key to adjust??

Bit of an improvement but still the occasional squeak. Wondering now if it's worth sourcing an uprated Prima rear mount, as it could just be the rubbish cheap ebay mounts...

So just tried to do the centre mount (red one) and it would not budge. Screw came out fine, but it would not slide off the hanger. I sprayed a load of white grease into it, and all around it, so we'll see if there's any improvement!

Yeh I took the mounts off and was essentially w**king off the exhaust with the mount!

I've got cheap ebay mounts too, could be why!

Mini update - it's back, but not as bad. Going to attack the mount near the cat tonight to see if that improves it.

Well, what can I say - first impressions suggest it's a million times better!! However there's still the odd occasional squeak which could be the hanger closest to the cat, I couldn't do this as I hadn't jacked the front up, lack of time. Definitely try the white grease (strange stuff!) as its...

I've covered both mounts in white grease, as well as both metal bars from the exhaust. Both are moving more freely, I'll update with how it sounds later when I've been out!!

Even though it only does it when it's warm? Mine does it pretty much every few seconds, it's almost embarrassing to drive!

I'm wondering now if it's related to the screw that's missing a head, as one of the exhaust mounts is only held on by 2 screws. The other exhaust mount was replaced last year, as was the centre one (near the cat). Failing that, I'll take a trip to 519!
