Squeak when crawling in traffic

It might happen other times, but it's only noticeable when crawling in traffic with the window down.

It's a high pitch squeak that happens every rotation of the wheels I think, I presume it's bearing related? Could anyone confirm this?

And if so is it more likely to be front or rear before I go jacking up the car?

Could be brakes, check the stone guards for dents or flakes of rust that could rub on the discs. Check for rust on the edge of the disc. Check for stones wedged in the calipers or between stone guard and disc.
Could even be pads rubbing on discs. I get it occasionally in the wet on mine and had it all the time on my old Escort (but then it went away after a while)
Could also be brake wear indicators. Apparantly some pads have little metal tabs that rub on the disc to make a squealing noise and alert you to low pads, never experienced this myself though.

I get this when I go around corners slowly. Literally about 2mph. It doesn't squeak every time though :S

My front brakes are on their way out, and am changing them in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully that might sort it then.

I had exactly the same thing, a slight squeak when pulling off and round slow corners,
turned out to be a sticking caliper.

When the brakes were changed the calipers were taken apart and cleaned with brake cleaner,
the squeaking never came back.

Or it could be an exhaust mount that needs greasing, although maybe not if it only happens in slow traffic. Mine happens when doing anything!

I had this, turned out I had a small mouse caught under the clutch pedal so every time I came to a stop I was squashing its head.

Brake noises usually go away if you press the pedal a tiny bit. Did on mine anyway.
