Wouldn't be my first choice of colours if I were putting them in myself, but they were too good to just replace for the sake of it so they stayed. The colour did sort of grow on my towards the end of owning it.
I will be thinking about seats (and a rear cage or full cage if I am feeling a bit stupid at that point in time) for mine towards the end of the year as my seats are ripped and finding original Ph1 seats in good condition and reasonable price is impossible.
However the seats I had in my old Ph1...
The one I made seems to be fine. The only time I indent on removing it again is when I put ITB's on it.....
Oh was told the awful knocking noise on full lock was the alternator belt tensioner jumping about. Pleased that was not steering rack like I thought it was. So garage is replacing that...
Car was delivered today and the garage phoned me up asking what I had done. Explained the issues with the flat battery and running rough and changed the plugs, coil pack and HT leads. Said leave it with them. Within an hour I get a call saying it’s started - was the emergency fuel cut off switch...
I did yes, I know I should do it and bite the bullet as they wont be that cheap for a while and then I know they are all new. Gutted I left it so long for the same on Amazon when they were like £25 each for Magnetti Marelli ones and the offer ended.
I'll start with the good progress....
Managed to get what I wanted done regards to the rest of the service items. Now has new genuine Renault spark plugs, new coil pack and Magnecore HT leads. Did notice some of the retaining tabs on the MAP and inlet temp sensors have broken so have got some...
I replaced the rear beam bolts on my old Ph1 with generic coach bolts that my brother machined. Were better than the original ones as you could put a spanner on the top of them and not rely on the weak mounting thing they use.
I did the same with mine when I put new centre caps in recently. Hate it when things like that are just thrown in. Even my mountain bike tyres are lined up so the logos are next to the valve. OCD ftw.
I now need to go and check if the centre caps on my M140i are lined up....I hope the Germans...
Yeah that's it. When doing the suspension and cooling system on my E34 I got all the part numbers from there, gave it all to BMW for prices, got the stuff from them which was reasonable price and then used AutoDoc for the rest. Took me a good few hours to get all the right part numbers. There...
Amazing! There is one I use my my BMW which I have basically bought any spare part from using it for part numbers and haven't got anything wrong (yet).
What are these two sensors from the upper inlet on my Ph1?
I know one is the MAP sensor but not sure which one it is or what the other one is, something to do with air temp iirc?
Also what are the part numbers as I might need to get a replacement - the one on the left has broken tabs so I am...
