Fuel leak sorted 👍🏻 need to keep an eye on it just in case.
Next up is me giving myself a reason to get an LSD which is summed up by this picture
I’ll explain why…this is now on daily duties after going from 4 cars down to this is the only “working one” (holding off taxing the E34 but that...
Actually this won’t work. Just checked exactly where the split is and it’s so close to the connector into the filter my hose won’t go over the old hose and barbs on the fitting
Need to source the right hose and fittings
@mintno1 is the outside diameter pipe at the fuel filter the same as at the fuel rail?
I have found some left over fuel hose from my ITB conversion but the inside diameter is bigger than the inside diameter of standard hose. But standard hose does fit inside the hose I have and I’m thinking of...
You can see it spraying out from that bend when the car is on so I’m confident it’s there it’s leaking from.
What is annoying the car had half a tank in it yesterday. I started it and walked off and left it running like I usually do every few weeks, could smell fumes but we had just a heating...
Quick screen grabs from the photos on the day. Probably a little low resolution but I’ll download the album when I’m on my laptop next as I want to get one printed out to go next to my big picture of me at the Nurburgring in my E34.
Track day at Angelsey today. Was good...was bad.
First track day since fitting the ITBs and oh my it is amazing. Car drives a lot better, a lot smoother acceleration, bit more grunt and it sounds epic.
Weather was great. Got "set up" in the paddock....aka took the stuff out of the boot. Turned...
People probably know but for those that don’t - if you are planning on using a GoPro on your car make sure it is tethered/fixed to the car. I’ve just been told to remove my suction mount on the inside of my windscreen by one of the marshals at Angelsey as “it isn’t secure enough”. The up side of...
That E34 looks tidy.
I’ve seen many 520i but never another 535i driving. Hate seeing them in the road as it makes me feel bad for not using mine as much I probably should.
I had the Vibratechnics on my old Ph1, that was pretty good. Did add some extra vibrations and "harshness" to the ride but that was a track car so I was never really bothered. Easy to fit and looked good.
In my new Ph1 I have the original mount with a Powerflex insert and that does the job - I...
I’ve got loads of their parts on my various cars and very happy with the quality. Even have a box load of parts of theirs to fit to the Z3. I’d say it’s the only brand for generic parts I buy now thinking about it.
Decided to take a quick spin in the Clio this morning while it wasn’t raining, mainly to see how it was after several months of not moving and a bit of a shake down ready for Anglesey in a few weeks.
Got it off the drive, shut the gate and realised I needed to tax it 😬 £30 a month now...
Not sure if this is the same but I've experienced that my hazzards will come on with no clicking noise or alarm noise if either I open it too quickly after unlocking it or the battery is a bit flat - cannot work out which one of the two but I would want to say a the later with a flatter battery...
Giving this a little once over as it’s not been driven since December and I’m going to tax it for April. Started first time and ran really well which I am very surprised about! Drove it up and down the drive a bit to try and clean the brakes off but will need a good run next week. Good weather...
I’ve got a theory that “password1234” is a strong password as no one would think people are stupid enough to use it so would never guess it.
(This isn’t my password for anything…I’m not that stupid)
Semi related are you planning on getting the jacking points strengthened? As I’m wondering what to do with mine when I get around to this same job. Like I was thinking getting some box section welded in at the jacking points so I can safely use that for jacking and axle stands instead of the...
It was a Y reg and I think blue (too dark to work out of it were blue, black or green).
Recognised the noise of it approaching and was like “I’ll keep up” but then realised I was in my E60 so it would have been weird. Looked and sounded good.
Oh and your third brake light is out.
Cut the bolt off, easiest way. I had to do the same on mine when I removed the rear seats. The torq head is rubbish and can’t get any purchase on it to undo it as you say it’s open to the elements underneath. My plan was to then weld a big nut on to use a socket on it.
Flux insure my E34 on a classic policy with an agreed value. Were over £200 cheaper when I first got it than the closest. The price has doubled since then but still cheapest with them. I was annoyed when I asked them to quote for an E36 to see if I could afford it before viewing it saying just...
I’m with Greenlight, all mods declared 5k miles and that’s £23 a month I think after looking through my bank statement. That’s also commuting and social use too. That’s with it being kept on a drive in the arse end of nowhere and me having a load of NCB mirrored and then 3 years on its own policy.
They look smart, again not what my bank balance wants to see!
If I do go for these I’ll probably just rattle can them black to smarten them up seeing as they will be track wheels…or my OCD will say no and get them nicely powder coated 🤦🏻♂️ haha
