Only recently got to try it out on track, Oulton park. I love this thing so much more grip in the corners, can't wait for the next one, just need to get braver now as the car is far more capable than I am.

I killed my OEM one at Cadwell, replaced with a Sachs performance one.

I just remembered my cage is T45 so it is thinner, double check the clamp specs might not go round a standard steel one.

I drove mine from Brichdown to EFI to get mapped once the cams were put in, was told to take it steady and keep the revs down.

First trackday with the Blackline LSD , Lightened Flywheel clutch etc today. Oulton Park Road car only day, I've never been to a day with so few cars! 30 or so at the start of the Day. The LSD is mega, stunned how much difference it made in and out of the twistie bits, I need to get to grips...

Just been for a drive, up before most of the Lycra, the Cheshire side of the Cat and Fiddle probably has the best tarmac in Cheshire! Bit of heel and toe practice on the twisties, even sticking to the speed limit the bends are good fun. Jodrell Bank in the Valley bellow.

Bit of dayglow fitted, can be easily spotted upsidedown in a hedge now.

I had to file these down the other day to get them out. Long socket over the abs sensor then a gentle tap with a hammer.

I like the AutoAlex Cars, reminds me a bit of old top gear, far better than that 2 northern fools recently. Humblemechanic is an interesting watch for VAG stuff, watched a vid on the Haldex on the mk 8 golf R what a bit of kit!

had mine done 2 years ago on about the same millage, belts and dephaser were due. I found a set of 197 cams and had them done @ Birchdown along with belts. Mapped at EFI in runcorn. 191.4bhp and 170lbs/ft It done a few Cadwells and Oulton parks since :)

I take it these are no longer available from Renault? Does anyone know a part number or after market ones? Don't fancy paying £500 PMS one.

Mine did it with a RS tuner map on, Chris at EFI had to remove it for me before he could map mine. Doesn't do it now, that my experience. I suppose it could depend on the map, guessing this might not be a good way to determine cams then. I have the receipt for the works fitting them from...
