Front tyres are a bit wide for snow but they seem to cope pretty well being a light car with plenty weight over the front end.
My Clio van on its standard steelys was amazing in the snow
I got one from cliospares years ago, turned up damaged, the bits at the windscreen side where it comes to a point where bent, I just fixed it as the car wasn't a garage queen but best bet is always collect it or at least go via paypal
to save loads of reading, stick an updated summary post with everything you have changed so far so we can see what's left and see if we can get to the bottom of it
I would say black plastic, once dressed etc always think that looks best even if it is a bit more maintenance, breaks it up a little
what did I do to deserve a facebook delete 😂😂
no it wont, its the high RPM changes that causes the syncros to fail, no matter how easy you are with the box
Having spent most of my driving with JC5's im used to having to use mechanical sympathy with the boxes and not rushing them, always heal and toe even during normal driving and I killed...
when it was running for 5 minutes I could hardly see where it was coming from just a splatter landing on a coolant hose but I assume when its sitting at higher RPM on the motorway etc its firing it out!
depends what your ideas are for your project?
They drive nice, are reliable, cheap to fix, don't rust, handle well, looks are a personal preference but assume you like the look since your asking
yep all good!
bone dry!
that will be next or a TCE conversion lol
nope all good.
im stumped, got it at my garage tomorrow to strip it to bits and get a better look, its the fact its everywhere as if there has been an oil explosion but no signs of where its coming from when its running!
I'm stumped! The top and front of engine is coated in oil, underside of the bonnet is coated as if there has been an oil explosion! Alternator side is covered, gearbox side is dry
It's using a litre a day.
Sump is all good, oil filter all good
Breathers all good
Not coming from the dipstick or...
at risk of sounding a bit blunt, what do you actually want to achieve?
the reason to modify a car is to achieve something, so unless you just have money burning a hole in your pocket with no other hobbies then what made you register on a forum and ask what you should modify on your car?
this is cliosport, don't you know how it works, the new engine is smaller, lighter, more efficient, delivers more power and more torque but its definitely went backwords as the 182 was the last of the rear hot hatches iirc ;)
i doubt it will be too bulky, the road car I think is 1200kg with all its fancy interior and bose etc etc, and the biggest difference was the nicer interior, my bird has a mk4 Clio GT and its 1050kg or something silly! these smaller engines do have their benefits!
quicker rack
less weight
less power zapped from engine
ease of maintenance (I can get my engine out in no time now with no PAS and aircon to worry about.
now the cars are getting older they are prone to cracked pipes causing leaks, pumps failing and as said above no fluid is an advantage for a...
im confused do you have a dci 100 or a 182?
if your running 182 running gear you will be running 182 shafts/hubs surely?
if your running a dci 100 then 182 wide track shouldn't fit?
I had one of mine done by Henk @ Fastchip and one done by RS Tuning, wasn't overly happy with either for different reasons on both, EFI Parts seem to be getting a good review @aldo_87 is having his done next month there.
172/182 injectors, a FMIC, inlet and Decat should see you reach 145hp-150hp
yeah that's the one! was looking at trading my 220 Trophy in against it at the time, sent a big detailed email to find out some more info as it was a 8hr drive and got like a 1 line email back with a quote saying £x amount down and £x a month with no mention of anything I had asked lol lost...
I was thinking this the other day but I must say, I still enjoy looking at a hardware box before I open it just as much as I did back when I got my geforce 2 GTS and Pentium III lol I would be hugely disappointed if my motherboard and GPU turned up in a brown box!
