No front adjustable anti-roll bar exists so this would be welcome.
As Budgie has stated there are already competitors in the market for the springs and rear roll bar. Eibach Sportline, Cooksport and Apex so I would see how to fit in with those. And the only rear anti-roll bar available is the...
Piper cams £320
Catcams 438 or 421 £600
You won't see much difference in performance so you need to decide if you want to spend the extra £280 to say you've got catcams.
That's exactly it. Road tyre price but with good performance on track and they take the abuse all day.
All this speculation for what?! Do you really want to pay more?!
They sponsored the time attack for a while and all of them ran the ksport stuff. A guy in work has them on his 600bhp R33 GTR and my mate has them on her Scooby. No complaints from either
Or maybe its just the motorsport companies trying to justify charging more for the same tyres?! Who knows.
Doubt anyone will ever really find out, Federal certainly won't clarify. And a couple of mm where it fits on the rim says nothing.
Just carry on using them for a cheap tyre. Then if you...
strong money. Around £1300 all in.
Not considered these? http://www.larkspeed.com/index.pl?p=RE0126POT286X26&a=i with http://www.camskill.co.uk/m31b0s3086p18078/EBC_BRAKE_PADS_EBC_YELLOWSTUFF_BRAKE_PADS_-_DP4002R_-_EBC_Yellowstuff_Brake_Pads_
And then use the spare £400 towards the head?
It's a cheap track day tyre. I doubt anyone would notice a difference even if there is one, which again I doubt.
If you're serious about lap times you wouldn't be running these anyway!
I'll continue to buy the cheaper ones and enjoy them.
The FRS runs a stupidly high temperature thermostat and fan switch. I'd replace these for some more sensible items plus get a scangauge.
The reason they have stat housing and hose issues is because of the high temps they run.
No issues with my tyres from mytyres.
I'd put money on there being no difference in the compound. Wouldn't make financial sense for a manufacturer to do that on a mass produced tyre where there is a single defined treadwear index, unlike other tyres where you get soft, medium and hard like the...
You're lucky to come out of that relatively unscathed but unlucky it went that way due to a broken driveshaft.
Such a shame, this was one of ny favourite cars on the forum, a lot of ingenuity had gone into it.
Re: Ph1 172
Fitted the 4 bar fuel regulator, it much smoother now it's not running lean. Just waiting on the flanges to extend the intake and it can go for mapping.
Quick video of it running now.
Re: Ph1 172
Rev counter sorted. Went through a ph1 ECU pinout to find all the positions that should be empty after moving the wires, turns out I'd moved pin 70 to 50 instead of 55. D'oh!
The Sparco subframes are REALLY high up. I'd get either the OMP ones (cheapest to get new) or Cobra X-Low (lowest you can get) if you can. It won't be that difficult to make them fit. I've got Sparco seats with OMP frames.
As for runners universal ones will do the job just fine. Usually around...
I had to move 20 wires swapping from the standard ECU to the Gen90 ECU so I've been through what pin does what and the only ones I can narrow it down to are.
Moving 53 to 77 - Vehicle speed input. But that's an input so it shouldn't be that
Moving 70 to 77 - TDC engine speed information. This...
Fitted the Gen90 and ITB kit to my ph1, everything works bar the rev counter. Any ideas?
Going to give KTec a call later about 5 ish to see if they know the reason.
Re: Ph1 172
Well it's alive and I've set the idle, don't know what to though as the rev counter isn't working :( need to work that out.
Everything else is fine, oil cooler, radiator etc. Seems a little lean but it is only a base map and it's a little more modified than the map is for. Besides...
