ph2 started 2001 Y plate, was facelifted around 2004 53 plate, got different wheels (15" version of 172 wheels) different front bumper with a different lower grill and fog lights bulge out a bit, different upper grill, grey back headlights, colourcoded rear spoiler and different interior...

gave it a quick wash today was fitting new clean plates from fancy plates, shame we cant drive about without front plates as it looks good!

my mapped 100 if you gave it death thru the gears by the time you were flat out in 4th you would get a loss of power and a warning light as the fuel pump couldn't hold pressure, lift off for 2 seconds and back on again to let it catch up and it was fine

imo one of these at stage 2 is the better option over a 133, if your not into modifying then 133 all day long but if you don't mind modifying then these are awesome, my old one with an RS Tuner map at 119hp 145lb/ft would pull on 133's in a straight line and with sticky rubber and AP coilovers...

the guy who owns it, Mark, runs a mapped DCi80. few of my mates are running cars mapped by them, 420hp Focus RS, few mapped Focus ST's and a stage 2 Leon TDI170

the black insert 17s look better too!, there is a set local on ebay keeping an eye on them! this handles a bit soft having the GT chassis but still plenty of grip, my last GT on AP coilovers was epic and that was only running T1-R's!, sub 1,000kg is the key to the fun on these!

Im with you on that one mark. but definately want coilovers like my last one and stage 2 this time rather than stage 1 Daniel, no bump, 172s are absolute money pits these days, and once modded these are just as much if not more fun! Only reason i went gordini is they are the newest tce twingo...

this will be controversial!! mate offered me good cash on my 172 and this popped up local, just over 2yrs old with 23k miles, balance of warranty left, immaculate Plans are RS Tuning stage 2 with 172 injectors (around 140bhp 150lb/ft), Coilovers and my 40mm Spacers. sitting on the fence...

I spec'd my GT with every option bar Satnav! didn't like the way it looked. I did however spec the best option.... Diesel!

there is no hole in his intake pipe he has it blocked with the supplied plug? I still stand by the fact that they run better on the standard recirc valve though the guy who has my old one has a forge dump valve on it and it doesn't drive as nice and sounds terrible, its like a baby sneezing...

ive never had a puncture in 7yrs and probably 150k lol!
