same way diesels always feel quicker than they are! fabia VRS always felt 172 pace until you got them side by side and the 172 destroyed it!
on the subject of the 200t however, im loving how much it fails, karma to they clowns at Renault who caused my headache with my shed of a 200!! just shows...
ahh right yeah, the ph1 was just a toy had the dci100 and then GT DCi106 at the same time as it as my daily, couldn't be bothered with the hastle of 2 cars now lol
depends what you consider an upgrade and a downgrade though, imo the only time I downgraded was when I went from the 200 to the twingo GT as I had to due to it being such a shed and I had 3k neg equity due to the short time I had it so I had to take a 12 month loan for the 3k neg and the 4k for...
yeah soon to be 172 injectors, fastchip stage 2 etc etc before probably selling it to buy something else lol I get easily bored

it began in 2004 at 16 and a half years old when I bought a standard 1.2 16v clio, it later ended up like...
there was a guy around this way back in 2005 when I had my first 172 had a standard looking vts, slightly lower with a set of R888's or something similar on it, straight line I was just creeping closer to him but round the bends in my at that time standard 172 running factory conti tyres he was...
I find your best to keep going till 5k if your really going for it as you get the overboost at 4.5k but when just making quick progress 3500-4000rpm is more than enough!
actually it is, in my experience its only once you get up near triple figures the Clio starts to pull away in any significant way, under that your just creeping away!
I think ph2 172 wheels are the coolest wheels Renault ever made! always liked them, and I bet they will look brilliant on the trophy!
I also like the mk1 wheels looks very fresh!
