    Do you mean the cat to manifold or cat to centre? Cat to manifold kits are best purchased from Renault Wolverhampton in the trader section. Cat to centre section, use some instant silicone gasket.

    Knew I shouldn't have said that. I've had one go now. Seam welded it in so I've got a half decent chance of it staying put.

    Sadly, being a specialist I've seen FAR too many **** ups with cambelts. I have probably put more right that have been done by previous garages than I have actually changed.

    If he had the knowledge he would have removed the bumper, not used tippex, not disconnected the air con, know space is tight etc. should I carry on?

    There are no marks on the clio. The 3 tools come to about £150. CHances are they haven't renewed the aux belt kit, so it'll spit that into the cambelt fairly soon.

    You don't need to drop the steering rack from the subframe. Just the subframe one side from the car.

    No you'd need to remove the dephaser and cam cover etc. And yes it's EXTREMELY poor practice to retension a belt.

    No. And any of those tools won't give the correct timing you need the GENUINE ones not the cheap s**t you've posted.
