im fully comp with them, have windscreen cover and the details are included on my policy documents under my actual excess bit.
i renewed with them a few weeks back and fully comp was £18 more than 3rd party and i had a cracked windscreen which is about a foot long now lol so was a no brainer...
yellow gunk is normal its condensation, take it a good run let the car get oil temperature and give it a good blast and it will clear, wont do any harm being there anyway
yeah i love it but its also done 60k and while its in good condition its no more special than any other one for sale right now bar a few bolt on bits that's coming off it for sale so seems the right thing to do, hes only offered what its worth really but at the same time its someone offering...
I can see it going that way lol, mate made me a good offer on it lastnight whos just sold his CTR he cant afford to run, hes apparently giving me the cash for it on Monday morning and picking it up, standard on Monday night, so it might be sold!!! but if it falls through then its business as...
you can use an F4R throttle body off a 2.0 16v Laguna on these its a little larger apparently but ive never done it.
I think the RS tuner might surprise you im sure someone on here used one a few years ago and were impressed by it, remember you will need to run 98/99 ron fuel to make the most of it
Mpg doesnt matter because 200's are that awesome to drive, i love 172s abd have gad a few good ones but 200 is a differebt ball game (as it should be with 8yrs of development!)
na its fine, just use less throttle to keep it off boost or low boost and it drives as normal, fuel economy is still good when taking it easy. Ive had a good offer from a mate whos looking for something cheap and fun to run about in but I like it that much im not sure I want to sell it!
remap usually improves economy unless your driving it flat out everywhere!
it cant be the same colour unless one was painted, 172 cup was iceberg silver along with all other silver 172's, no non rs was this colour
I had pipercross as I had read a review sure it was on here a few years back where pipercross filters were producing the best power gains, however all pretty much the same in reality!
no its running 1 bar of boost not sure what the standard car runs it wasn't standard long enough to check haha
its pretty quick for what it is, I like it, was a big step down in power coming from the clio 200 but the expression on some people faces when they go for it and realise they have a...
I noticed a huge difference, the standard map is designed so that the car doesn't feel turbo charged, since it wasn't designed as a "performance" engine and it would confuse the old dears if it was giving them nothing, nothing then a kick in the kidneys.
so now it pulls as it normally did until...
yeah had a bit of bother but henk sorted it out, needed an adjustment to the map, not sure if it was built for a clio tce rather than twingo or if I have something non genuine causing issues but henk saw the problem once I done a data log with the rs tuner and adjusted it, been fine since.
yeah...
mine is a generic map from Henk @ fastchip, costs about £200 maby a bit more depending on exchange rate, he sends you the software, map and RS tuner box to upload it to your car and you do it yourself, easy! same as everyone running them on 172/182's - mine has the 120bhp/145lbft on an otherwise...
mate had one in a saxo, was hilarious guess it wrong 3 times and it wouldn't let the car start for 15 minutes or something, I used to do it at 10pm outside work all the time then leave him stranded for 15 minutes lol
Because im a top mate of course
exhaust, filter and decat on a standard engine will probably get you at very most 10bhp, with a stage 1 map 130bhp should be achievable but injectors are limiting you massively, 172/182 injectors and another map and 145bhp should be achieavable with an intercooler
clutch is the only issue and heavy steering to get used to, were trying to get hold of a twingo 133 for an extended drive with the intention of swapping from 1.2 16v twingos
yep sure would im running just a stage 1 high torque map as the injectors hold it back and am getting 120bhp 145lbft
172 injectors added into it and your looking at 135-140bhp, add in an intercooler, exhaust, induction etc and you can get close to the turbos 150bhp limit
wont matter as its a generic map not custom to your mods so while you will likely get a small benefit from an induction kit if done properly it doesn't matter if you do it before or after the map.
mapped DCI's are awesome, by the time you paint your new panels etc then personally I wouldn't think its going to be worth it unless your doing it just purely because you want to! if it was me id just stick a decent suspension setup on it, tidy wheels and rubber, get it mapped and have some...
