I mean, I guess those rubber tyres that start cracking when old must not be made of rubber. As it wouldn't deteriorate. Nor would those rubber bushes that deteriorate with time. Or those rubber brake hoses. Or easiest of all, wiped blades never go hard and stop...

Say you pulled out and you were doing 10mph avg before the impact. That is 14.66ft/sec. So you were in the road for 3 seconds before the impact.
Stopping distance from 30mph is 75 feet.
