aux belt broke and hit cam belt after new alternator. Now what?

If they didn't replace the aux kit, it's down to them really. They should have replaced it as it was coming off. Another prime example why going to a specialist is worth the extra.

Cambelt & Dephaser - Main Dealer

As it would only have cost an extra £40ish. And you get another year. And should the aux belt fail and take the cambelt you've written off any warranty as you didn't get the full kit changed.

Oil pump cog on the crank

No, it's so it's not got additional drag on the aux pulley that can undo the bolt.

Just be sure who does your belts is familiar with these and has ALL the genuine tools. Else it'll be about 140bhp

Oil pump cog on the crank

A Keyed crank pulley would not save the timing from slipping if the bolt came loose. The key ways are literally there as a locating tool.

clio 172 gearbox sirclip help please

I've welded one on one of my cars and never had an issue. But that was a box I bought that had already popped it. I've never had a circlip go on me.

Lumpy idle but no problem at higher rpm

Reading fail. I entirely missed that. If its that lumpy the timing is out. I skim read it, now I've read everything in it, I'd say timing is out.
