Re: Renewal price LOLZ (it's worth haggling)
Nice to read that other people have had similar experiences :) I wonder if I'd said my best price was £700 I'd have got it for that. Hmm.
The best bit is - I was going to be insured with 'Highways'. Now, with Brentacre, I'm still insured with...
Re: Renewal price LOLZ (it's worth haggling)
Yup, this guy was interested in Clios as he was thinking of getting one as a daily... he said he drives a 380bhp S13 at the minute! Their accent is awesome too.
Long story short I was paying £1600 last year on my Trophy. Had 3 points, was 23, 3 years no claims and 4 years driving. Manchester/Bury postcode so basically the worst one. The £1600 - I forgot to ring them and get the price down on my previous renewal so they ended up just taking it and I...
It would do a splendid job if you could wrap it around the curves at the top of the unit without getting any air bubbles. I was going to try but literally couldn't be bothered!
I do but nobody from the camping list (okay I kind of know Don but that's all!).
The Mrs is working so debating whether it'll be worth the 7 hour round trip or not. Hmm.
Nothing to report! The custom rear lights came off a while ago. I still have them but they're a bit faded!
I bought a set of these which are genuine Renault (made by Valeo) lights which were an option on the Clio Extreme models.
Masked up the bit I wanted to stay clear and sprayed the rest...
Loctite it is then. Just a bit I would imagine?
I changed the calipers recently but they were done up dead tight as said (probably not the correct torque mind, but I'd say tighter).
Heard a clonk followed by an extremely unplesent rattling noise when driving normally up the road. Upon further inspection the bottom carrier bolt was missing! How could this have happened and how could I stop it from doing it again?
Has anyone had it happen before? They were super tight before...
Fitted the new leads and it had already gone away but it hasn't come back since. No idea about the mpg, I can't remember what it was 'before' so couldn't tell you! It's low 30s now though.
Mine fits. The ph1 pipe pushes against the ECU/wires because of the shape of it which eventually would wear through the wires if left alone.
EDIT: I'm talking about the elbow that leats to the throttle body. The standard ph2 feed pipes also fit - just squeeze them and they become round.
